  • Maera Music founder Nixxie releases ‘Don’t Go Far'

Maera Music proudly presents its eighth release, “Don’t Go Far” by Nixxie — a single that embodies both the highs of summer and the nostalgia that lingers when the nights fade. The track carries a vocal line that feels like a whisper from the afterhours: tender, uplifting, yet tinged with longing. It’s music for when the party is still alive in your body but memory has already begun to color it with emotion. As the founder of Maera Music, Nixxie channels not only his own vision but also the collective spirit that surrounds the label. The track is steeped in the atmosphere of Mykonos, infused with the warmth of friends and family who gather each year for the Mæræ Festival, and shaped by the spontaneous magic of the Alemagou sessions that have become a cornerstone of many summers. • Tensal's new techno EP ‘Behind Consciousness' lands on Concrete Records LTD

Tensal Spanish producer Tensal, makes a welcome return to Concrete Records. Behind Consciousness is a four-track vinyl-only EP that captures his signature balance between physical energy and deep, meditative control. Having released on influential imprints such as Slam’s Soma, Oscar Mulero’s Warm Up, Bas Mooy’s Mord, and Emmanuel’s ARTS, Tensal continues to refine a sound that sits confidently between functional precision and hypnotic abstraction. The title track, “Behind Consciousness,” opens with a sense of quiet propulsion, where its clipped percussion and angular bleeps unfold patiently, each layer drawing you deeper into its measured tension. “Itaewon” follows with darker contours, its chugging rhythm wrapped in foggy atmospheres and restless synth motions that give the track a brooding, nocturnal character. On “Mandrax,” Tensal introduces warmth and motion, pairing a bouncing low-end with metallic details that shimmer and twist through the mix. The result feels alive, subtle but dynamic, evoking movement without aggression. Finally, “Foeh” closes the record with an almost introspective grace, its stuttering kick pattern and spacious design guiding the listener toward a weightless, suspended state. Throughout Behind Consciousness, Tensal demonstrates his mastery of restraint. Each sound feels precisely placed; every rhythm given room to breathe. It’s techno that rewards patience, it’s immersive, textural, and crafted with an understated confidence. With this release, Italy’s Concrete Records once again affirms its commitment to timeless, cerebral club music built for both motion and reflection. You can buy the release HERE.

  • Dianthe drops dark and driving techno EP, “Intrusion”

Dianthe Dianthe drops a dark and intense techno EP via, The Aura of Music, which alongside her two original tracks also includes a solo rework from Monococ, and a three-way collaborative remix by B'NATURE, Oshman, and URVNIUM. Living on the West Coast of America, Dianthe has an ominous style combining dark atmospherics with thundering drums and intense melodies. This is her debut on The Aura of Music, which is a new and exciting imprint on its third release. Dianthe's music has also been a feature of other record labels, ranging from Alula Tunes to SOLID AUDIO. Before turning her hand to techno, Dianthe was a classically trained pianist with a passion for metal and heavy rock music. Her techno tracks combine the raw aggression of metal with the intricate melodies of her piano training, and the outcome is dark and cinematic. On remix duty, B'NATURE, Oshman and URVNIUM are a trio of artists who recently teamed up to release an album on Psy4Aliens, then a follow up EP on The Aura of Music. This remix is in their usual style, which sits between minimal and peak time techno, powered by looming suspense and throbbing tones. The second remix is by Monococ, who's a trance artist turned techno producer. His twisted tracks have a sinister vibe with undertones of euphoria, and they have been played by DJs ranging from Richie Hawtin to UMEK. Monococ's music has been released by respected labels such as Phunk Traxx, Fierce Animal Recordings, and Music4Aliens. The title track, "Intrusion," has a pumping groove with spiralling synths and dystopian pads, which are cut by a captivating vocal with forewarning lyrics. Monococ's remix of "Intrusion" lifts the energy with a rolling bassline and more prominent kick drum, which is augmented by an exhilarating arpeggio line. "Strange Games" is the second of the originals, and it has a pulsating bassline and eerie pads, layered with juddering melodies and a hammering kick drum. The remix by B'NATURE, Oshman, and URVNIUM works in a new bassline, and strips back the drums to create an atmospheric version that's true to the vibe of the original. Buy the release here.

  • “Manufacturers of Modern Dancefloor Weaponry” is a gritty techno compilation from Boom Merchant’s Tribal Pulse

Boom Merchant Tribal Pulse is a techno-focused record label making a statement with their new compilation, Manufacturers of Modern Dancefloor Weaponry. As the title suggests, this 10-track release is full of bombs that are ready to blow up the dance floor, and it delivers on that promise. None of the artists who feature are heavyweight names, as there isn’t a Jeff Mills, Ben Klock, or Adam Beyer in attendance. This does not detract from the quality of the music, and simply highlights how much exceptional talent the techno scene has right now. The release features music from Obsidian Wave, Boom Merchant, Fractious, Calum Connell, Moog Conspiracy, Iluna, Homma Honganji, Lefrenk, Hockins, and Fragile X. Each track brings its own flavour, and it has styles ranging from hypnotic techno to breaks. Covering most bases, the release has standouts such as Boom Merchant’s “Smoke,” which combines churning percussion and tranquil pads into a heady groove with brooding intensity. Fractious’ “Link in Time” stands out due to its morphing synths and rippling rhythms forming a captivating groove. Moog Conspiracy’s “Zuppl” is a smouldering techno track that unfolds with building suspense, and Homma Honganji brings the heat with his ‘90s inspired “Golden Fugue.” This is a great collection of tracks that showcase a selection of up-and-coming producers who are doing great things in the underground techno scene.
