Martin Garrix has debuted a new unreleased collaboration with Madonna titled ‘Bizarre’ during a run of performances in New York City.

The track was first premiered during Garrix’s headline performance at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on 13th June before later appearing again during an afterparty set at Marquee New York. Clips from both performances quickly spread across social media after fans recognised Madonna’s vocals within the track.

While Garrix initially kept details vague during the Barclays Center performance, reports from the Marquee afterparty claim the Dutch producer later confirmed directly on the microphone that the song was indeed a collaboration with Madonna.

Garrix also appeared to reference the collaboration online shortly afterwards, posting “Bizarre night 3 in New York! @madonna” across social media following the performances.

According to DJ Mag, the track is expected to feature on Madonna’s forthcoming album ‘Confessions On A Dance Floor: Part II’, the long-rumoured sequel to her hugely influential 2005 electronic pop album.

Sonically, early footage suggests ‘Bizarre’ leans into emotionally charged electronic pop and melodic club production, combining Madonna’s unmistakable vocal presence with Garrix’s modern festival-focused sound design.

The collaboration also follows recent comments from Garrix hinting at upcoming work with artists he “never thought” he would collaborate with. In earlier interviews, the producer described recently feeling starstruck while recording with an unnamed female artist in New York, widely believed now to have been Madonna herself.

The surprise debut immediately generated major excitement online, not only because of the collaboration itself, but because it bridges two generations of dance music culture, pairing one of electronic music’s biggest modern festival headliners with one of pop’s most influential figures in club music history.

At the time of writing, no official release date for ‘Bizarre’ has been confirmed.
