The Smallest Number returns with ‘Don’t Let Go’, a melodic deep house release exploring the tension, longing and emotional urgency of a relationship beginning to slip away.

Featuring vocals from Jessie Villa, the track continues the project’s signature approach to atmospheric electronic music, combining detailed production, cinematic emotion and introspective songwriting. Warm melodic synths and flowing rhythmic movement create a spacious and immersive backdrop while the vocal performance carries the emotional weight of the release.

Rather than relying on dramatic club-focused peaks, ‘Don’t Let Go’ unfolds patiently through atmosphere and progression. The production balances melancholy and optimism throughout, allowing moments of tension and release to develop naturally within the arrangement.

That emotional duality sits at the core of The Smallest Number’s wider identity. Conceived as an audiovisual deep house project, TSN explores themes surrounding life, love, loss and rebirth through interconnected music and visual storytelling.

The project first emerged through debut EP ‘001’ in 2024, accompanied by a five-part short film described as a digital art installation combining live action and animation. The release established the project’s distinct aesthetic, pairing nostalgic and emotionally driven lyrics with polished atmospheric house production.

Since then, TSN has steadily expanded its audience through a consistent run of singles while continuing to build towards a second EP and another multi-part visual project planned for later this year.

‘Don’t Let Go’ feels like another strong step in that evolving world. Emotional, immersive and carefully detailed throughout, the single continues refining The Smallest Number’s blend of deep house atmosphere and cinematic storytelling.
