Solardo have returned to Hot Creations with a new ‘10 Years On’ remix of ‘Tribesmen’, revisiting the record that helped launch their rise through the global house music scene.
Originally released in 2016, ‘Tribesmen’ became a defining moment for the Manchester duo, delivering their first-ever Beatport No.1 and establishing them as one of the leading names in a new wave of tech house artists. A decade later, the track remains one of the most recognisable releases in their catalogue, recently surpassing 7.5 million streams.
Rather than completely reinventing the original, the new remix updates the record with the benefit of ten years spent refining their sound across clubs, festivals and international tours. The track’s iconic vocal remains firmly in place, while heavier drums, punchier grooves and acid-infused synth touches bring the production in line with Solardo’s current sound.
“Tribesmen became our first release on the label a decade ago, and it went on to become our first Beatport No.1, opening the door for us to tour the world and build the incredible career we’ve had ever since,” the duo explained.
The release also marks a return to the label that played a pivotal role in their early development. Founded by Jamie Jones and Lee Foss, Hot Creations has long been one of the most influential labels in modern house music and remains closely connected to Solardo’s story.
Since the original release, the duo have gone on to establish their own successful imprint, Sola Records, while becoming regular fixtures on major festival line-ups and club stages worldwide.
Ten years after first changing the course of their career, ‘Tribesmen (10 Years On Remix)’ feels less like a nostalgic exercise and more like a celebration of how far both the artists and the record have travelled.
