Red Axes join the fabric presents series with a new mix and compilation, released March 20 via fabric Records. Buy/Stream it here: https://fabric.lnk.to/presents_RedAxes.
The 16-track release brings together original productions, exclusive edits and carefully selected cuts, offering a full snapshot of the duo’s current direction. Red Axes lean into their long-form approach here, focusing on pacing, tension and gradual progression rather than quick transitions.
The tracklist moves across multiple strands of electronic music, pulling in contributions from A Guy Called Gerald, Random Factor and a wider cast of artists, alongside several Red Axes originals and remixes. The result is a mix that feels curated rather than compiled, built to be experienced in full.
Alongside the release, the duo share new single ‘Time To Take It’. The track sits firmly within their established sound, slow, groove-led and slightly psychedelic, unfolding gradually through layered textures and subtle rhythmic shifts. It’s a track that favours control over immediacy, aligning closely with the wider tone of the mix.
The fabric presents series has long acted as a platform for artists to map out their broader influences and identity, with past editions from names including The Martinez Brothers, Andrew Weatherall and DJ Tennis. Red Axes’ contribution continues that tradition with a focus on narrative and atmosphere.
Red Axes will also appear at fabric on March 21, co-headlining alongside DJ Tennis.
