PETRU KSS continues the launch sequence of his debut album with ‘Kolibri Live Part 3’, out now on Kolibri Space Shuttle Records. Conceived as a journey from nature to space, Kolibri Live LP was recorded entirely live in Corsica's wilderness. The project centres on hardware-driven improvisation, embracing risk, spontaneity and narrative flow. ‘Kolibri Live Part 3’ captures that ethos with two of the album’s most journey-focused moments.
‘Trappist’ offers a tense and hypnotic ascent, driven by shifting melodic lines that gradually build pressure and momentum. ‘Capsule’ follows with a clear, memorable theme, anchored by deep atmospheric layers that create a sense of calm amid the wider voyage. It acts as a moment of reflection, allowing the album’s narrative to breathe.
The release is expanded through a set of contrasting reinterpretations.VRIL transforms ‘Capsule’ into a spacious, sunrise-ready drift, blending warm, old school tones with immersive depth.
The forthcoming LP features two exclusive tracks, as Dubfire reworks ‘Trappist’ into a dark, sharply focused techno cut defined by precision and restraint. PETRU KSS also delivers his own Grit Mix, pushing the track into faster, more chaotic territory with acid-charged energy.
The album has been mixed by Hannes Bieger and mastered at Calyx, reinforcing its focus on texture, clarity and emotional intent. Alongside the release, a global remix contest invites producers worldwide to reinterpret the Kolibri sound, supported by Novation, Genki Instruments, Dreadbox, Sugar Bytes and Audiorealism.
As PETRU KSS completes his PhD in electronic music, ‘Kolibri Live Part 3’ underlines a core message of the project.
