Paris-based producer Notre Dame takes centre stage on BLOND:ISH’s new remix package for her acclaimed album ‘Never Walk Alone’, out now via Insomniac Records. His rework of ‘Higher’, originally a collaboration between BLOND:ISH and Black Circle, delivers a masterclass in restrained groove and emotional finesse.

Where the original shines with spiritual energy and dynamic progression, Notre Dame transforms it into a smooth, French touch infused journey. Anchored by a steady bassline and crisp percussion, the remix breathes with balance and space. Organ chords provide warmth, while layers of soft synths and melodic accents unfold slowly, creating an atmosphere that feels cinematic and deeply human.

“When I first heard ‘Higher’, I immediately connected with its spiritual energy, it felt both grounded and celestial,” says Notre Dame. “My goal with the remix was to lift that emotion even further, to push it into a more cinematic, groovy, and energetic space, while keeping the essence that makes the original so powerful.”

That intention comes through clearly. The groove is patient yet infectious, the textures subtle but evocative. It is the kind of record that works in any setting, from golden hour terraces to immersive after-hours, inviting listeners to move without urgency and reflect without slowing down.

The remix follows a string of major projects for Notre Dame, including his collaboration ‘Give It To Me 2025’ with Adriatique, Nelly Furtado and Timbaland on Interscope, and his latest EP on Solomun’s Diynamic. His growing catalogue across labels like Kitsuné and his own imprint Paranormal continues to shape a modern vision of French electronic music that bridges classic emotion with contemporary design.

Having recently joined BLOND:ISH’s ‘Abracadabra’ showcases at Pacha Ibiza and Downtown LA, and now touring alongside Alex Wann, Notre Dame reinforces his position as one of France’s most exciting creative forces.

With his remix of ‘Higher’, he captures the essence of BLOND:ISH’s world and turns it into something both intimate and expansive, reminding us why his touch resonates far beyond the club.
