This one is all about space. ‘Between Worlds’ from Moleman doesn’t hit you straight away. It surrounds you first. Layers build outwards, creating that wide, almost weightless feeling before the rhythm fully locks in.

The influence is clear. This leans into that classic atmospheric drum and bass approach, where the mood carries just as much weight as the drums. You can hear that nod to Apex in how the textures move, not static, always shifting around the listener.

When the break comes in, it doesn’t break the spell. It slots underneath the atmosphere rather than cutting through it. Clean, controlled and steady, it gives the track direction without pulling focus away from the wider soundscape.

The vocal and lead elements are what give it motion. They circle through the mix, never sitting still, creating that sense of being suspended between two states. That idea runs through the entire track. It never fully resolves, it just keeps you in that in-between space.

That’s what makes it work. It’s not trying to hit a peak. It’s building a feeling and holding it.

The fact it’s already landed on Diplo’s SiriusXM show says a lot about how it translates. This isn’t just a headphone track. It carries across systems without losing detail.

‘Between Worlds’ feels designed to pull you out of the room rather than fill it.
