Hottrax continues its mission of championing tomorrow's talent with the arrival of Manchester-based duo MINDLESS., who step up for their label debut with their new release, 'Turn It Up.' Buy/Stream it here: https://orcd.co/hxt150.
Behind the name are Harry Carvell and Kieran Dearden, two producers who only launched the project earlier this year. In just a matter of months, their studio sessions have caught the attention of tastemakers and DJs, marking them as a fresh name to watch within the UK's house scene. The Hottrax signing is a major milestone, aligning MINDLESS. with Jamie Jones' influential imprint, a label celebrated for pushing forward-thinking artists and sounds.
Speaking on the release, MINDLESS. shared:
“Honestly, we can’t believe that in the space of six months we have gone from making our first track together for fun after work, to getting a Hottrax EP - a label that was only considered a dream to release on back in February. We thought it might be a joke because we really didn't expect this so soon! It is an honour to release on the same label as household names within the scene who inspired us to begin this journey originally. Jamie, being a key driver to our love for music, makes this release so special to us. Anyone who knows us, recognises the importance of Jamie's event Paradise as a huge inspiration to steer our passion for music. We are so proud to share with you our 'Turn It Up' single on Hottrax and hope you connect with it the same way we do.”
"Turn It Up" sets the tone with crisp drum programming, a snaking bassline, and a looping groove that locks dancers into its rhythm. On the flip, "Taste It" explores a darker edge, laced with subtle low-end pressure and a moodier flow, offering a versatile complement to the title track.
It's an impressive debut that puts MINDLESS. firmly on the radar, signalling a big year ahead as the Manchester pair continue their rapid rise.
MINDLESS.
