I. JORDAN And Tom Everett Find Euphoria In Melancholy On ‘All I Ever’

I. JORDAN and Tom Everett have joined forces on ‘All I Ever’, an emotionally charged collaboration released through Ninja Tune on 15th October.
The single marks the second instalment in a trilogy of releases from I. JORDAN on the London-based label, following ‘Give Me Some More’, which received support from BBC Radio 1’s Sarah Story and BBC 6Music presenters Nemone, Deb Grant and Nathan Shepherd.
Built around delicate vocal harmonies and kaleidoscopic synths, ‘All I Ever’ explores the space between melancholy and euphoria. Supple drums provide the rhythmic foundation as the arrangement gradually builds towards an expansive breakdown, balancing the intimacy of its vocal performance with the physical release of the dancefloor.
“I’ve been a fan of Tom Everett for years, and I’m very proud of this track as our first-ever collaboration,” I. JORDAN explains. “I think the track is a balance of happy/sad euphoria that gets me in my feels, especially that big emotional breakdown.”
The collaboration came together during a studio session earlier this year, with Everett arriving with an initial idea that quickly developed into a near-complete arrangement. Drawing on their respective strengths, the pair combined Everett’s melodic sensibilities with I. JORDAN’s instinct for club-focused production.
“What we ended up with feels like the perfect mix of both our sounds and ultimately the very thing we set out to make in the first place - emotional, euphoric and club ready,” Everett says.
For I. JORDAN, the release continues a productive period following their acclaimed 2024 debut album ‘I AM JORDAN’, which featured among BBC 6Music’s Albums of the Year. Recent appearances on Peach Discs and Armada Music have further explored their distinctive approach to rave, house and techno.
Everett brings his own experience from the UK underground, having developed his production skills and DJ career in Leeds before attracting BBC Introducing support for his debut single ‘Patti’ on 3Beat.
Together, the pair deliver a record that draws its impact from emotional contrast, allowing moments of vulnerability and dancefloor intensity to coexist without sacrificing either.
