Michael Gray Reveals Brand New Album, ‘You & Me’

UK producer Michael Gray returns with ‘You & Me’, his third artist album on Sultra Records, and it feels like a celebration of everything people love about his sound. The record moves with warmth, soul and that unmistakable disco‑kissed groove he’s mastered over the years. It’s packed with new collaborators and long‑time friends, each bringing their own spark while keeping the album rooted in Michael’s soulful, musical approach. Songwriting, vocals and musicianship sit at the heart of the project, giving it the feel of a proper body of work rather than a collection of singles.
Across the album, Michael pulls in an impressive cast. Rising vocalist Bran Mazz steps into the spotlight on several tracks, including a standout take on Maxwell’s ‘Ascension (Don’t Ever Wonder)’ and fresh cuts like ‘I Like The Way’, ‘Medicine’ and ‘Breaking Away’. Chicago house icon Mike Dunn appears on the title track ‘You & Me’, built around a clever flip of Freeez’s ‘Flying High’. Tania Foster brings fire to the Latin‑disco‑tinted ‘Shake’, while New York’s Kelli Sae adds her unmistakable soul to ‘Give It To Me’ and ‘Detonate’, the latter also featuring Errol Reid. Jamiroquai’s Derrick McKenzie adds live drums to ‘Detonate’ and ‘I Like The Way’, giving both tracks extra punch. Sian Lee fronts the recent single ‘Gravity’, which topped the Traxsource chart. ‘Universe’ offers a jackin’ instrumental moment, set for release on Toolroom in June. Phebe Edwards shines on a cover of Cleo Sol’s ‘Life Will Be’, Dyanna Fearon brings smooth Brit‑soul energy to ‘I’m Falling For You’, and Audrey Martells lifts ‘Beautiful’ with her radiant vocal.
Michael Gray, also one half of 'Full Intention', continues to shape modern disco and soulful house with releases on Glitterbox, Fool’s Paradise, Toolroom, Z Records, Defected and more, along with his own Sultra Records brand. His classics ‘The Weekend’ and ‘Borderline’ remain dance floor favourites, and with ‘You & Me’, he adds another strong chapter to an already rich catalogue.
