‘Disco Connection’ lands as the newest chapter in Luca Guerrieri’s long running love affair with the dance floor, a Discofied glamour cut on DVS Records aimed squarely at the dance floor. The track hits with lush Disco, but also packs punch, as chunky drums that feel built for big rooms, designed confidence and experience, and a funky bass groove that locks dancers in from the first loop. Bright and fluttering string lines glide across the top, giving the whole production a chic sparkle, while the playful arrangement keeps the peak time energy burning without ever losing its cool or diving into the kitsch. It’s the kind of record that makes perfect sense coming from a producer who has been shaping dance floors since the mid-nineties.
Tuscany’s Luca Guerrieri has been a DJ and producer since 1995, running his Double Vision Studios label and co owning Claps Records while steadily building a catalogue that has become part of modern club culture. His track ‘Only You’ was picked up by Fatboy Slim and transformed into the club smash Role Model with Dan Diamond on vocals. 'Harmony' earned support from Pete Tong and Danny Howard and climbed to the top of the BBC Radio 1 Dance Chart. His reinterpretation of the Tuscan folk song Maremma Amara landed on the Buddha Bar XXV compilation, while Tears and Flow found their way onto the main stage at Tomorrowland. Alongside his solo work, Luca has collaborated with Mr V, Federico Scavo, Tommy Vee, Meri and Rona Ray, and delivered remixes for Bob Sinclar, Marshal Jefferson, Ridney, Turntables Night Fever, Cappella, Santarini, Azoto, Watermat and Dirty Vegas. His DJ sets have taken him across Italy and into clubs like Privilege and Sankeys in Ibiza, Cielo in Dubai and Carrusel Club in Sofia.
