Lorenzo de Blanck Delivers Three Groove-Driven Club Cuts On ‘Musik’ EP
Italian DJ and producer Lorenzo de Blanck has made his debut on Ilario Alicante’s Sound D’Elite imprint with ‘Musik’, a three-track EP built around rolling rhythms, infectious basslines and stripped-back house grooves.
Released on 16th October, the project arrives with considerable dancefloor momentum. Its title track had already attracted support from Marco Carola and Alicante ahead of release, establishing itself as a regular selection in their sets.
‘Musik’ leads the EP with a steadily evolving arrangement that prioritises groove and tension over dramatic breakdowns. Rolling percussion and a gradual increase in pressure give the production a terrace-ready feel, drawing on the hypnotic, understated approach that has become central to Sound D’Elite’s catalogue.
The remaining tracks explore different sides of de Blanck’s sound without departing from that rhythmic foundation. ‘Everybody’ introduces a buoyant bassline and chunkier groove, bringing a more playful energy to the release, while ‘Perfect Time’ closes the EP with skippy percussion and a lively, forward-moving rhythm.
Together, the three productions demonstrate de Blanck’s understanding of club functionality, allowing subtle rhythmic variations and carefully controlled arrangements to drive each track.
That approach reflects years spent immersed in Italy’s house music circuit. With previous releases on Hot Creations, elrow Music, Saved, Moon Harbour and Deeperfect, de Blanck has developed a catalogue that moves comfortably between established underground imprints.
His experience extends beyond the studio, with appearances at Italian club institution Cocoricò and involvement in Ferrara’s Simple parties contributing to a production style shaped by the dancefloors he regularly plays.
For Sound D’Elite, ‘Musik’ adds another groove-focused release to the label’s catalogue, while giving de Blanck a platform for three productions that favour rhythmic detail and sustained energy over unnecessary embellishment.
