One of the most exciting young artists to emerge from Germany’s techno scene, Kaspar, makes his grand return to Monika Kruse’s esteemed Terminal M imprint for the release of his brand-new EP, Imagination. Having only been active on the circuit since 2019, the fast-rising newcomer has already become a firm favourite for the iconic label through extended players ‘Aither’ and ‘Valhalla’, as well as inclusions on the imprint’s ‘Bangers Vol. 5, 7 and 8’ compilations.
Kaspar’s latest two-tracker is a masterclass in crisp, impactful techno that warmly welcomes the influence of his local club scene. Anthemic synth work and high-octane percussion set the tone for its title trackImagination, which unfolds through an enticing break and heady melodic riffs to reveal a cut that’s primed for both festival mainstages and intimate club spaces alike. The EPs second offering, Cycle Of Life, is another peak-time worthy cut that champions all of the sensibilities we’ve come to know and love from Kaspar’s flourishing catalogue.
A staunch contributor since his arrival on the circuit just a few short years ago, Kaspar was quickly recognised by leading imprints Kraftek, Fe Chrome and Natura Viva before joining Terminal M’s A-list roster. His music represents refined, fast-paced techno with an emotive, melodic-leaning edge. His 2020-released single ‘Nova’ became a worldwide hit, gaining over 5 million streams and paving the way for the immense success of his collaboration with A*S*Y*S on ‘Injection’. The track resumed a No.1 position in Beatport’s Peak-Time Techno Chart in the weeks following its release and still stands as one of his biggest accolades to date. On the performance front, Kaspar has graced the decks of some of techno’s most renowned clubs, including EGG (London), Kite (Turkey) and Sisyphos (Berlin), as well as joining the lineups of festivals Nature One and Ruhr In Love.
