UK breaking artist Alfie Cridland recently teamed up with Italian producer LØRD for this club-ready new single ‘Respect’, released via his label home, Perfect Havoc. A bumping tech house track with bouncy tribal vibes, ‘Respect’ shows off Cridland’s more underground style and how effortlessly the producer can switch things up. Download/stream it here: https://perfecthavoc.lnk.to/respect.
Following Cridland’s crossover track ‘New Levels’, which saw a whopping 49 spins on BBC Radio 1 and accomplished 30m streams, and for LØRD, coming hot on the heels of big releases on such labels such as Hexagon and Musical Freedom, ‘Respect’ is a tasty little weapon set to ignite dancefloors this summer.
To celebrate the release of his latest record and continuing ascent, we invited Alfie to drop his very own Hot Picks selection:
Sam Divine feat Josh Barry - Take My Hand
I heard this not long ago and straight away had to download it for my live sets. Brand new from Sam Divine, and she delivers a tune to bounce across the nightclub.
SOSA - It's Time To Move
I've been playing this tune for years now. I first played it at a festival and got the best reaction. It sounds incredible on a massive system.
Camden Cox - Oblivion
A song I love to play to build tension in a set. With a combination of amazing vocals and wicked lead synth, this song makes the whole room shake.
Gorgon City - Voodoo
This is an ANTHEM. Gorgon City always deliver bangers, and this one is no different. I especially love the vocal on this track.
Sonny Fodera & MK - Asking (feat. Clementine Douglas)
Two of my favourite producers on the same track means only one thing – perfection! Along with the amazing vocals from Clementine Douglas, it really is a summer feel-good track.
KREAM - Sweat
This is my prime-time club banger. I play a lot of KREAM in my sets, so I love to stay up to date with the latest tracks.
Shermanology - Sometimes
This is the perfect bouncy tune for the club. I love this track, as it's guaranteed to work at any festival or event.
Sonny Fodera - Angel X Bicep - Glue
I had to throw this classic into the mix. I'm a massive fan of Bicep, and I love the vocals over this.
Kayote x Sacha Harland x The Galaxy - Rakata
This is brand new. I love the vocals on an energetic house beat and can guarantee this will be staying in my DJ sets for a while.
Obskür – Bayside
This one has been in my sets since it was released. I love everything about the record and can assure you that every time it's played will get an amazing reaction.
