Hessian’s One Last Touch EP is out now on Colorize, marking a defining moment for the UK producer as he delivers his most complete and emotionally balanced body of work to date. Spanning seven tracks, the release captures the full range of his melodic identity, moving fluidly between introspective listening and club-focused momentum without ever feeling fragmented.
Among the EP’s highlights is ‘Heartbeat’, a collaboration with Courtney Storm that leans into rhythm as its emotional foundation. Built around a steady, pulsing groove, the track carries a sense of forward motion that feels quietly assured rather than forceful. Melodic layers rise and fall with restraint, creating space for atmosphere to develop while maintaining a clear connection to the dancefloor.
Courtney Storm’s vocal performance sits naturally within the arrangement, adding warmth and presence without dominating the mix. Her delivery feels integrated rather than spotlighted, reinforcing the track’s sense of connection and flow. Instead of relying on dramatic peaks, ‘Heartbeat’ builds its impact through subtle progression, making it well-suited to late-night club moments where tension and continuity matter most.
Across One Last Touch, Hessian demonstrates a refined sense of storytelling through sound. Tracks like the title cut and ‘Shine’ explore softer, more reflective territory, while rhythm-led moments such as ‘Heartbeat’ provide contrast and movement. The EP’s strength lies in this balance, with each track contributing to a cohesive atmosphere rather than competing for attention.
Collaborations across the project, including contributions from LAR, Keepa, mölly, Afnan Prince, Yellowitz, Farves, flyckt, and Courtney Storm, feel purposeful and well placed, adding texture without disrupting the EP’s identity. Rich sound design and careful pacing tie everything together, giving the release a sense of continuity from start to finish.
Out now on Colorize, One Last Touch positions Hessian firmly within the melodic and progressive house space as an artist focused on emotion, control, and long-term impact rather than fleeting moments.
