One year after unveiling his acclaimed second album ‘ii’, DESTIINO is opening a new chapter with ‘rem(ii)xes’, a three-track EP that reinterprets some of the record's defining moments through the eyes of three of electronic music's most respected producers.

Released via Lumière Noire on 26th June, the collection sees Lauer, Marina Trench and Léonie Pernet each bring their own musical language to Pierre-Alexandre Busson's introspective project, transforming familiar material into something entirely new while preserving the emotional core that defined the original album.

Rather than producing conventional club remixes, each artist reshapes the source material through their own distinctive lens. Lauer injects ‘Musique Electronique Répétitive’ with shimmering kosmische influences and driving cold-disco rhythms, while Marina Trench pushes ‘Somlake’ towards darker electro and techno territory through dense percussion and hypnotic grooves. Completing the collection, Léonie Pernet's interpretation of ‘My Crush’ expands the cinematic qualities of the original, layering haunting piano, analogue textures and slow-building emotional tension.

The release continues the evolution of DESTIINO as a project distinct from Busson's internationally recognised work as Yuksek. Where Yuksek has long occupied dancefloors with colourful house and disco productions, DESTIINO has become a vehicle for more reflective compositions that blur the boundaries between electronic music, film scoring and experimental songwriting.

That creative freedom has become a defining characteristic of the project, with ‘rem(ii)xes’ demonstrating just how adaptable the material from ‘ii’ remains when placed in the hands of like-minded artists.

The EP also arrives ahead of DESTIINO's appearance at La Crème Festival, where he will perform a special back-to-back set with CHLOÉ, founder of Lumière Noire.

By inviting three contrasting artists to reinterpret his work rather than simply update it for the club, DESTIINO delivers a remix collection that feels like a natural extension of the original album, expanding its emotional and musical universe instead of revisiting familiar ground.
