After a packed summer of shows and the excitement of his debut BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, Chris Stussy is stepping up again – this time with a fresh spin on Moby’s iconic track ‘Go.’ Slated as the second-ever release on his CSS label, Stussy’s rework brings new life to a track that’s been a staple in dance music history, even landing at #69 in Rolling Stone’s “200 Greatest Dance Songs of All Time.” Following the success of CSS’s debut release, ‘Desire,’ which racked up over 8.4 million Spotify streams, his latest remix has fans buzzing.
Stussy’s remix wasn’t initially intended for release; it began as an intro edit for his Boiler Room set in Edinburgh. But as the track gained traction in his sets, it quickly became one of his most requested IDs. “The original is such an iconic tune,” Stussy shares. “I tried to use two main elements, the strings and vocals, and added my touch to give it a more dancefloor-esque vibe. I love to play it in almost every set.”
True to his style, Stussy’s take on ‘Go’ kicks off with driving basslines and carefully woven grooves, creating a sound that’s as nostalgic as it is forward-looking. Fans of his reworks will recognize the same respect he brought to remixes of Todd Terry’s ‘Bounce To The Beat’ and other classics from Kerri Chandler and Jungle.
With this release, Stussy gives Moby’s anthem a refreshing twist – one that’s already lighting up dancefloors and cementing its place in his sets. This is a remix that captures the timeless spirit of ‘Go’ while pushing it firmly into the here and now. Download/stream it here: https://lnk.to/CSS02.
