UK techno artist Charlie Sparks has announced his debut album ‘Power Up’, set for release on 29th May via his own imprint ELEKTRA. The announcement arrives alongside the album’s title track, which lands as the first in a series of singles leading up to the full LP. Buy/Stream it here: https://ffm.to/elektra027aa.

Built across a period shaped by intense touring and personal challenges, ‘Power Up’ represents the most complete body of work from Sparks so far. The album gathers ten tracks that channel the high-pressure energy of modern techno while pulling influence from rave culture, break-driven rhythms and psy-leaning momentum.

The title track ‘Power Up’, released on 6th March, sets the tone for the project. Anchored by a thick low-end and direct techno groove, the track combines stripped-back percussion with flashes of jungle and breakbeat influence. MC vocal elements drive the rhythm forward, creating a sound designed for peak-time club environments.

Across the album, Sparks explores different corners of his production style. Fast tempos and physical grooves form the backbone of the record, while acid textures, rave motifs and rhythmic experimentation expand its range. The project reflects a producer focused on precision and impact, shaping tracks with a clear sense of function on the dancefloor.

The album also arrives as a key moment for ELEKTRA, the label Sparks launched in 2024 as a platform for his own music and creative direction. The imprint’s name draws from the concept of energy and power, reflecting the intensity that defines both the label and the album itself.

With ‘Power Up’, Sparks presents a debut album shaped by years of development and performance experience, setting the stage for the next chapter of his career.
