Belov and vietzen join forces on ‘Horizont’, released 26 July via Subnautique Records. Born from studio sessions during vietzen’s visit to Mexico, the track is one of three collaborations recorded during that time, and it captures the creative chemistry between the two producers in striking form.

At its core, ‘Horizont’ is progressive house, but with a distinctive twist. The rolling structure and evolving layers are joined by subtle nods to classic Detroit electro, giving the track grit alongside its melodic flow. The groove is steady and hypnotic, driven by robust percussion and deep synth lines, while the melodic elements provide lift and emotion. The balance of drive and atmosphere makes it a versatile cut, equally suited to dark rooms or expansive festival sets.

The collaboration brings together two distinct voices. Belov is known for euphoric techno that lives between dark and light, ancient and futuristic, human and machine. His work often explores themes of transhumanism and cultural intersection, with an emphasis on rhythm and intention as tools for physical and emotional movement.

Vietzen, the evolved alias of VTZN, takes a different angle. His PsyTech and deep melodic techno output carries a raw, gritty energy that contrasts with the more ethereal and organic qualities of his earlier work. Created in the heart of Berlin, the vietzen sound thrives on intensity, pushing deep into hypnotic grooves with edge and attitude.

On ‘Horizont’, those perspectives meet. The track carries Belov’s focus on transcendence and depth, paired with vietzen’s sharper, more driving sensibility. The result is a piece that feels both layered and purposeful, yet direct and club-ready.

As one of three tracks from their Mexico sessions, ‘Horizont’ feels like an opening chapter in what could be a fruitful partnership. It stands as a strong statement release for Subnautique Records and a reminder of the power of collaboration in electronic music.
