UK production duo Atari Safari continue to gather momentum, this time with the release of their brilliant quirky new record, ‘Boom Tat’, a new Disco House romp created alongside vocalist It’s Yonah on Muscle Funk. The track arrives after a series of well‑received joint projects and showcases the trio’s growing creative chemistry. Built around a tightly delivered percussive groove, the production leans into a warm and rhythmic bass line supported by filtered disco elements that give the record its forward drive. It’s Yonah delivers a confident and engaging vocal performance that adds character without overshadowing the instrumental foundation, resulting in a track designed to lift the energy of any dance floor.
'Boom Tat' also comes with a remix from New York’s Lenny Fontana, who brings his long‑established soulful House magic to the project. His version introduces bright brass accents, smooth keys and a saxophone lead that nods to classic East Coast club traditions while keeping the arrangement firmly in the present. The contrast between the original and the remix broadens the single’s appeal across different dance floor settings.
Atari Safari, formed in 2021 by Northwest UK DJs and producers Keef and Ben Booker, have quickly established themselves as a versatile and technically assured duo. Their sound draws from Chicago House, Funk, Soul, Acid and Balearic influences, and their catalogue spans labels including Under Pressure, Reptile Dysfunction, Hausa Groove, Freakin909, Subtractive Records, Unlearn, Klaphouse and Rollerblaster Records. Their collaborations have included work with Melanie Williams and It’s Yonah, alongside remix credits for CASSIMM, EDUKE, Wananchi and Donald Pump. It’s Yonah, known to many as part of the chart‑topping 90s group Cleopatra, has been developing a distinct solo identity in recent years. Her ongoing work with Atari Safari has produced a series of notable releases, including ‘Ain’t Nothing Goin’ On But the Rent’, ‘Musicbox’ and ‘We Are Divine’, marking a new chapter in her artistic evolution.
