Adam Beyer And Mark Reeve Revisit Drumcode’s Roots On ‘Do Our Thing’ EP

Adam Beyer and Mark Reeve have reunited for ‘Do Our Thing’, a four-track EP that reconnects with Drumcode’s rolling techno foundations as the influential Swedish label celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026.
The release follows their collaboration ‘Love Within’, which emerged as an unofficial anthem of Drumcode Mallorca earlier this year. Their creative relationship stretches back a decade to 2016’s ‘Nine of You’, while Reeve’s association with the label began in 2012 with his debut release, ‘Drumatic’.
Inspired by a shared desire to revisit the energy of their earlier productions, ‘Do Our Thing’ brings together driving percussion, melodic detail and the kind of sustained dancefloor momentum that has long defined Drumcode’s identity.
Opening track ‘Synchronize’ establishes that direction with a tightly constructed rhythmic framework and a guitar riff that builds throughout its second half. ‘Frames’ moves into deeper late-night territory, pairing full-bodied percussion with fluid melodic layers suited to the early hours.
The title track introduces a rapped vocal alongside sharply defined drums, with an evolving second half adding further movement to the arrangement. Closing track ‘Santiago’ balances soaring melodic elements with punchy rhythms, providing a more expansive conclusion to the four-track collection.
“The title – ‘Do Our Thing’ – really sums up the idea behind this EP. Just two friends making the music they love and doing what feels right,” Reeve explains.
The project arrives during a significant year for Drumcode, which marks three decades at the forefront of international techno. Rather than simply recreating an earlier sound, Beyer and Reeve draw on their shared history to bring familiar rhythmic ideas into a contemporary production setting.
Reflecting on their longstanding partnership, Reeve adds: “When I look back at our journey, what makes it so special is that it's always been about much more than just music. After all these years, Adam and I still share the same passion, the same musical taste, and the same excitement about creating something together.”
With ‘Do Our Thing’, the pair reinforce a creative partnership built on shared musical instincts, delivering four tracks that connect Drumcode’s past with its continuing evolution.
