909 RIOT & Carl Shorts Deliver Mad WOW E.P. on Resilient Recordings
909 RIOT and Carl Shorts have teamed up for the first time on Mad WOW E.P., a two-track release on Resilient Recordings. The project brings together the two artists on a hard techno statement that leans into pressure, movement, and a stripped-back sense of impact. Built for full-volume playback, the release is positioned as a direct, peak-time offering from the label.
Sonically, the record moves between the title track’s relentless drive and the darker, more corrosive pulse of “Suit Yourself.” Marching percussion, unpredictable grooves, and flashes of acid color the arrangement, while the overall feel stays dark, fast, heavy, and percussive. It is the kind of material that keeps the floor locked in without overcomplicating the formula, leaving room for a focused audio embed here.
The pairing marks the first collaboration between Carl Shorts and 909 RIOT. Both artists are presented here through a shared love of old-school hard techno attitudes, with the release text pointing to groove, acid, and unflinching momentum rather than polished excess. That approach gives Mad WOW E.P. a clear identity: lean, rugged, and aimed squarely at underground dancefloors.
Mad WOW E.P. is available via Beatport, and listeners can hear a premiere of the release through SoundCloud. For those looking to dig into the record, the preview and purchase options offer a straightforward route into the full two-track package: https://www.beatport.com/release/mad-wow/6841676
