Bicep Announce New Album ‘SLUG’ Featuring Eartheater, Clark And More
Bicep have announced ‘SLUG’, their third studio album, due on 29th January 2027 through Ninja Tune. The Belfast duo’s new project follows ‘Isles’ and brings together Eartheater, Clark, George Riley, Lauren Duffus, KUČKA and Saskia among its collaborators.
Ninja Tune describes the record as an 18-track release that stretches Bicep’s sound into contrasting textures and moods. The title draws inspiration from the differences between familiar land slugs and brightly coloured underwater counterparts, reflecting the duo’s interest in musical contrasts.
Six tracks have already been introduced across two three-track releases. The latest selection, ‘Gas / Ultra / Equarium’, includes contributions from Lauren Duffus, SOARR, Eartheater, Saskia and Kehina. Short films directed by Alex Takács expand the project’s visual world.
The announcement also comes with plans for a new live show in 2027, including performances in New York and London. For a duo whose productions have moved between intimate listening and large-scale performance, the collaborative approach suggests an intriguing next chapter.
Physical editions are available to pre-order, with the full album scheduled for January. The currently released tracks offer the first indication of where Bicep are taking their sound.
