Viels returns to his Berlin-based imprint End of Perception with Destino, a poised and thoughtful four-track EP that invites listeners to slow down and immerse themselves in its textured sonic world. Calm yet deeply focused, each composition unfolds with intention, offering a meditative journey through layered rhythms and refined sound design.

Opening track “Primo Respiro” sets the tone with subtle urgency. Its hypnotic, cyclical structure breathes gently beneath staggered percussion, evoking the quiet intensity of an early morning stillness. There’s a sense of patience in the arrangement, no rush, just a steady, evolving pulse.

“Movimento Tellurico” follows with a more buoyant energy, though its details remain shrouded in soft mystery. Delayed cymbals and airy sweeps drift over a grounded rhythm, conjuring a sense of movement through shifting terrain, both literal and emotional.

“Incompleti” dips into the dubbier end of the spectrum, its modular touches and warm low-end suggesting a descent into deeper waters. It’s the EP’s most introspective moment, inviting stillness and space for reflection.

Closing with the title track, “Destino” brings the listener back to the surface with a confident stride. A rawer edge emerges, yet the pacing remains restrained and thoughtful, never overpowering distinct tone established across the release.

Thinking of all four tracks, Viels shows his strength in balancing groove with subtle emotion. Destino doesn’t demand attention, it earns it slowly, through clarity of vision and deep-rooted atmosphere. A quietly powerful record that rewards focused listening and has had support from artists such as DVS1, Truncate, Josh Wink, Marcel Dettmann, and Amotik.
