Toolroom Records welcome Chicago House legend Jimi Polo to the label with a fresh interpretation of the iconic classic, ‘Better Days’. Teaming up with one of the UK’s most in demand producers and remixers of the moment, Michael Gray, most famously known for his hit ‘The Weekend’, this new version is a brilliant update that brings renewed energy to one of House music’s most celebrated dance floor gems. James Perri, known globally as Jimi Polo, stands as a pioneering Chicago House artist, Grammy winning producer, international DJ, film composerand actor whose influence stretches across continents and generations. His work has shaped the sound of House and electronic music, and his creative reach extends into cinema and performance. James has been based in Zagreb for more than ten years, collaborating with international heavyweights including Fatboy Slim, DJ Sasha and Blur, as well as working closely with leading Croatian artists across the music scene. His presence in Europe has only strengthened his reputation as a visionary artist with a deep understanding of groove, melody and emotion.
Michael Gray is a DJ and music producer, and one half of the acclaimed duo Full Intention. After relaunching his solo career in 2018 to reconnect with his original love of Disco, his productions and remixes have appeared on respected labels such as Nervous, Z Records, Soulfuric, Fools Paradise, Glitterbox, Big Love, Reel People Music and King Street, alongside releases on his own imprint Sultra. Michael performs for Glitterbox and Downtown Disco, hosts a Saturday night show on Mi Soul Radio, and live streams Thankful Thursday on twitch.tv every other Thursday.
