Sol Selectas’ embraces the sunshine with its epic organic house compilation, Summer Sol X.
It’s arguably Sol Selectas biggest release of the year, and this edition celebrates a decade of the record label’s compilation series. Founded by Sabo, Sol Selectas is one of organic house’s most innovative record labels.
Summer Sol is a compilation series that is now on its tenth edition, and it has pioneered the concept of a summer release collecting music that celebrates cultural diversity. It’s a release that’s consistently charted No.1 on stores like Beatport, and has inspired numerous other record labels to do something similar.
The tracks on the release all have a sound and vibe that fits with festivals and the summer party season. Some of the tracks came from the likes of Sabo, Yamil, Mula, Giovanni Aparicio, Guy Maayan, Adwas, and DJ Phellix, who have all featured on previous Sol Selectas releases.
It features a total of 25 tracks, and it’s also an opportunity for the imprint to present debuts by artists who are joining the Sol Selectas roster for the first time. Some of those artists such as Rameff, Matur, DBRA, and Basement Radio, are making their first official release.
This is a release that’s bursting at the seams with exceptional music, and everyone will have their own favourites. One of the stand outs was Yamil’s “El Donia,” which is a melodic house track with emotive vocals and dramatic bass chords. Guy Maayan’s “Stars Around Nobody” was also prominent for it’s truly uplifting sound.
