House music heavyweight Rony Seikaly is back with a fresh drop of grooves. His new release, the ‘Mariposa’ EP, lands May 2nd via his own label, Stride Records. Pre-order/Save here: https://vyd.co/RonySeikalyMariposa.
Known for blending club energy with refined studio production, Rony delivers three new tracks that go beyond the basics. The ‘Mariposa’ EP feels like a clear snapshot of where his sound is at right now – deep, textured and ready to move floors.
The title track ‘Mariposa’ leads with warmth and emotion. Lush piano chords and smooth vocals give it a soulful edge while the rhythm stays tight and understated. It’s a slow burner but doesn’t lose the drive.
‘Mami’ keeps the vocal focus, riding deep rolling drums and basslines that swirl into something hypnotic. There’s a patience to the build that rewards repeat listens – a proper heads-down club track with real feeling.
Closing it off is ‘New Day’ – stripped back, fresh, and light on its feet. Skipping drums, subtle vocals and rising piano stabs create a sense of calm optimism, rounding off the EP with a clear-eyed touch.
Rony’s last release landed in Beatport’s Top 20, and this one feels just as strong. He’s quietly built up one of the most consistent catalogues in the current house scene, with Stride Records pushing that same ethos – forward-thinking and quality-led.
etailed, and built for the long game.
‘Mariposa’ is more proof that Rony Seikaly’s evolution from sports star to trusted selector is no passing phase.
