Hertz and Oscar Escapa link up for the first time on Sway with the ‘Habemus’ EP, a three-track release that shows exactly why both producers have shaped so much of modern techno. They each bring their own edge, but the EP works as a unified statement. Strong drums. Direct energy. Clear identity. All three tracks land with intent, but ‘Eternal Groove’ stands out as the most hypnotic moment and the one we’re spotlighting today.
You hear the chemistry straight away. Hertz has a long history of precision-tooled club music, the kind you can feel tighten around a room as the tension rises. Oscar Escapa brings a punchier, modern swing that gives the EP fresh movement. Together, they build something that feels familiar yet sharp enough for today’s rooms.
‘Eternal Groove’ focuses on rhythm. No wasted space. The track runs on a looping percussion line that locks your attention from the start. The low end is warm and rolling, pushing everything forward without crowding the mix. There’s a subtle vocal texture running underneath that adds character without pulling focus. You can imagine this slotting perfectly into peak time sets, the type of track DJs use to hold a crowd in place before taking things up a level.
The rest of the EP widens the picture. ‘Habemus’ leads the release with chord-driven power and a bold melodic hook. ‘Soundscape Supply’ closes the set with faster energy and a sharper top end. Each track brings a different mood, which gives the EP replay value and range. You can tell both artists treated this as more than a functional club release. There’s thought behind the pacing and the variation.
The EP drops digitally on 21 November, with a two-week Beatport exclusive and pre-orders from 8 November. It hits all streaming platforms and wider digital stores on 5 December. The collaboration feels natural, and hopefully not a one-off. ‘Eternal Groove’ is the centre point, and it shows the best of what this partnership can do.
