Padre Guilherme returns with ‘Si Tuvieras Fe’, a striking new EP released via Lux Aeterna Records, offering a bold melodic techno reinterpretation of sacred Catholic hymns.
The EP centres on two traditional church songs sung initially by Carlos Anderson, also known as El Obama. ‘Protégeme Señor’ and ‘El Grano De Mostaza’ arrive here in transformed form, reworked by Padre Guilherme alongside producer KYD3N. The result is a carefully balanced fusion of spiritual heritage and contemporary electronic language.
Rather than stripping the originals of their meaning, the remixes amplify their emotional weight. Warm melodic lines, restrained tension, and forward-moving rhythms sit beneath the vocals, allowing the message of faith, trust, and reflection to remain intact while opening the tracks to new environments. It is melodic techno with purpose, designed as much for introspection as it is for shared listening.
‘Protégeme Señor’ leans into a sense of protection and calm, gradually unfolding with patient structure and subtle progression. ‘El Grano De Mostaza’ brings a slightly more uplifting energy, built around hope and belief, translating its message into a modern sonic setting without losing its spiritual core.
‘Si Tuvieras Fe’ feels intentional in both concept and execution. It does not chase novelty for its own sake. Instead, it builds a respectful bridge between sacred music and electronic culture, inviting listeners to experience familiar hymns through a different emotional and sonic lens.
Out now on Lux Aeterna Records, the EP stands as a thoughtful and distinctive release within the melodic techno space. It reinforces Padre Guilherme’s unique position at the intersection of faith and electronic music, delivering a project that feels sincere, contemporary, and quietly powerful.
