NIASHA continues her rise with ‘Sizojabula’, a new single landing on 28 November that positions her firmly as a leading voice for Amapiano in Australia. Blending Amapiano and Afro House, the track radiates joy, gratitude and cultural pride, rooted in lived experience and diasporic connection.

Born in Zimbabwe and now based in Naarm, Melbourne, NIASHA draws directly from her heritage on ‘Sizojabula’. The track was written and recorded between Harare and Melbourne, inspired by her first return to Zimbabwe in 15 years. That journey reconnects the music with family, faith and creative roots, shaping a song that speaks to shared experiences across the Southern African diaspora.

Produced by CEEKO and mixed by RayoBeats, ‘Sizojabula’ layers rich percussion and deep rhythmic grooves beneath NIASHA’s soulful vocal delivery. Recordings of local children captured in a Harare backyard studio add further texture, grounding the track in place and community. The title translates to “we will be joyful”, a message that runs clearly through every element of the record.

The release arrives with strong backing from Audius Mtawarira, whose influence within African and Australian music culture is well established. Having played a key role in the rise of Sha Sha and worked with artists including Delta Goodrem, Jessica Mauboy and Ricki-Lee Coulter, Mtawarira describes NIASHA as the Amapiano artist Australia has been waiting for.

NIASHA’s journey has been steady and intentional. Mentored by artists such as Sho Madjozi, TKAY Maidza and Lady Leshurr, she has since performed with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, toured globally with Sampa the Great, and delivered sold-out headline shows in Melbourne and Zimbabwe. Her live presence has also seen her support Amapiano stars Uncle Waffles and Daliwonga.

‘Sizojabula’ sets the tone for NIASHA’s forthcoming EP, due in March 2026 to coincide with International Women’s Day. It marks a confident step toward a broader global audience, bridging Amapiano’s African heartbeat with Australia’s creative pulse through sound, story and movement.
