UK electronic duo Nichols+Roark make their debut on the iconic Renaissance imprint with the release of their ‘Full Circle EP’, a four-track project that carries deep personal significance for the artists. Pre-Order/Save it here: https://renaissancemusic.ffm.to/ren26156.
The title reflects a genuine moment of return. More than two decades ago, Nichols+Roark were regulars on the dancefloors of Renaissance events across Nottingham, Ibiza and London. Those experiences played a major role in shaping their musical identity. Releasing music on the same label now brings that connection back into focus.
‘Full Circle EP’ blends progressive house foundations with elements of indie dance, combining melodic songwriting with club-ready structure. Opening tracks ‘Superfly’ and ‘Rhythm State’ establish the core of the release. Rolling basslines and tight percussion give both tracks strong dancefloor momentum, while melodic synth work adds a reflective edge.
‘Rhythm State’ centres around the repeated vocal phrase “listen to the rhythm”, encouraging listeners to stay immersed in the groove rather than skipping through moments. ‘Superfly’ moves with a lighter, more liberated tone, capturing the energy that defines long nights on the dancefloor.
The EP also introduces collaboration into the duo’s evolving sound. ‘Loyou’, created with German producer Zoka, draws inspiration from analogue synth textures and 1980s science fiction aesthetics, forming a darker and more cinematic moment within the record.
Closing the release, ‘Blue’ featuring Ro receives a remix from Ron Flatter, transforming the original synth-pop track into a deeper club interpretation while retaining its emotional vocal core.
With the ‘Full Circle EP’, Nichols+Roark begin a new chapter with Renaissance while reconnecting with the musical roots that shaped their journey.
