Lottie Jones continues her rise as one of the most recognisable voices in modern Drum & Bass with her latest single ‘Surrender’, landing via Make Your Era, and we’re premiering it exclusively ahead of release.

Built around emotion, melodic depth and vocal identity, ‘Surrender’ leans into the qualities that have steadily made Lottie one of the most in-demand names within the genre. From collaborations with Fred V, Hybrid Minds, Kanine and Andromedik through to releases on labels including Hospital Records, Liquicity and UKF, her ability to balance underground credibility with wider crossover appeal continues to stand out.

That identity runs directly through ‘Surrender’. Atmospheric textures open the track before fluid rolling drums establish a warm liquid foundation underneath. The production feels detailed without becoming overcrowded, allowing melodic layers to gradually expand around the groove while maintaining a sense of intimacy throughout.

At the centre of everything is Lottie’s vocal. Rather than simply sitting over the instrumental, her performance becomes the emotional anchor of the record itself. There’s a natural ease and honesty to the delivery, balancing vulnerability with confidence while giving the track a feeling that remains personal despite its wider scale.

As the arrangement develops, the emotional energy opens up further. Harmonies widen, melodies become more expansive and the production lifts naturally without ever losing the warmth that sits underneath the record.

That balance is what makes the track connect. Rather than relying on oversized moments, ‘Surrender’ builds through feeling and progression, delivering a release that feels equally suited to headphones and late-night dancefloors.

The release also continues the direction of Make Your Era, the label curated by Vibe Chemistry, which continues to spotlight individuality and songwriting within Drum & Bass.

With ‘Surrender’, Lottie Jones delivers another reminder of why she remains one of the scene's strongest vocal talents, pairing emotion and musicality with a release that feels immediate but built to last.
