Klaverson is back with a brand new EP. Titled 'Above Ground', the seven-track project lands via Beyond Records and marks a major step forward for the UK singer, songwriter, producer and visual artist. Download/stream it here: https://beyond.bfan.link/above-ground.
Off the back of his breakout debut 'Reflections,' which clocked over 15 million streams and drew praise from BBC Radio 1, 6Music, FIP, Spotify, Apple Music, and more, this second EP feels more refined, more grounded and emotionally wide open.
At its core, 'Above Ground' is about rising. Not in some glossy, idealised sense, but in a real way through doubt, heaviness, and the moments when everything feels stacked against you. It’s about belief. About becoming the person you needed. About being that person for someone else.
“This EP is about those breakthrough moments where you find strength to rise again or help someone else do the same,” Klaverson says. That sentiment bleeds through every track.
Opener 'Better Man' sets the tone with rich textures, bold synth work and commanding vocals. It’s vulnerable but never soft. Then comes 'Rising', the lead single that’s already picked up, spins on BBC Radio 1 and Sian Eleri’s Chillest Show. A crisp beat, a soaring topline, and a real sense of purpose drive the track forward.
'Higher Now' leans into warmth and introspection, offering a sonic reset in the centre of the record. 'Shinjuku' follows as an ambient pause, evoking neon-lit calm and late-night stillness. Then there’s 'There For Me', a soul-infused vocal piece full of gratitude and emotion. 'Bet On You' adds confidence and groove to the mix, while 'First Time' closes with cinematic grace, reflective, dreamy, and full of possibility.
Klaverson’s ability to pair strong visual storytelling with emotionally resonant production continues to set him apart. There’s no filler here. Every detail feels deliberate.
He joins Abbie McCarthy for an exclusive BBC Introducing listening party on 26 June, then heads to Madrid this September for his festival debut at Zamna.
If 'Reflections' introduced him, 'Above Ground' defines him. It's honest, focused and built to connect.
