Belgian techno producer Klaps returns with a hard-hitting new release titled ‘It’s That Rhythm’, out now on his label Get In Line.
True to form, Klaps keeps things razor sharp. The original mix features crisp percussion, hypnotic repetition, and peak-time pressure. Built for dark rooms and big rigs, it’s a pure DJ tool with just enough movement to keep dancers locked in - no fluff, no filler, just groove-focused techno that knows precisely where it’s going.
Two contrasting but equally effective remixes bolster the release. Rising producer HUJUS ramps things up with a gritty reinterpretation, full of tension and punch. It’s fast, raw and restless, adding heavier builds and a tougher edge. On the other hand, Berlin-based MAURER strips it all back, leaning into minimal textures and a deep, subtly shifting rhythm that lends the track a whole new depth.
Together, these three versions form a versatile and club-ready package that works across various times of night and styles of set. DJs take note.
Klaps, based in Houthalen, has been grinding for years. His passion for the genre started young, sparked by his dad gifting him a record player at just eight years old. Fast forward, and he’s now played stages at Tomorrowland, Extrema Outdoor and Pukkelpop’s Boiler Room stage. His music has landed on labels like Filth on Acid and garnered support from techno heavyweights, including Charlotte de Witte, Pan-Pot, and Dubfire.
Get In Line is Klaps’ outlet, and it’s quickly becoming a space for groove-driven techno with attitude. ‘It’s That Rhythm’ fits the brief perfectly. It’s bold, direct and made for the floor.
