Just Geo enters a bold new chapter with ‘IN/HARMONY’, a multi-faceted EP landing on 5 December via DWNTHRD. The project marks a clear evolution in his sound, weaving together UK garage, grime, dubstep, drum and bass, and modern club music into a cohesive, deeply introspective body of work.
‘IN/HARMONY’ unfolds as a journey rather than a collection of singles. Opening track ‘In/Too/Deep’ sets the tone with a slow, immersive build that nods to early influences, before ‘In/Harmony’ injects a rush of rave energy, drawing from the dubby spirit of early 2000s UK dancefloors. From there, the EP moves fluidly between moods and tempos, each track reflecting a distinct emotional state.
‘In/Motion’ introduces vulnerability through a spacious two-step rhythm, while ‘In/Charge’ pivots sharply into gritty, hypnotic dubstep territory. ‘In/My/Head’ strips things back emotionally, capturing a raw sense of release, before focus track ‘In/Essence’ taps into drum and bass foundations, flipping genre expectations into something unmistakably personal. Closing cut ‘In/Sync’ brings the project full circle, leaning into the heart of UK club culture with a track built for moments of total immersion on the dancefloor.
The EP was shaped by real-world constraints. Written across studios, homes, planes, trains and temporary spaces, ‘IN/HARMONY’ reflects a year of movement and change. Limited time, hardware and resources became part of the creative process, giving the project its restless, evolving character.
A long-standing presence in UK music culture, Just Geo’s background spans pirate radio, prime-time broadcasting, touring with Ministry of Sound and sharing stages with artists such as Wiley and Idris Elba. That experience feeds directly into the EP’s balance of functionality and feeling, where tracks are built to move crowds but carry emotional weight.
‘IN/HARMONY’ stands as a snapshot of an artist in motion. It is reflective without being inward-looking, club-focused without being rigid, and confident in its refusal to sit still. As a full project, it positions Just Geo not just as a selector or producer, but as a storyteller using UK club music as his language.
