London producer Joss Dean continues his rapid ascent through the underground house scene with his debut release on Insomniac Records, unveiling new single ‘GANGSTA’.
At just 19 years old, Dean has quickly established himself as one of the UK's most promising emerging talents, building momentum through a string of club-focused productions that have earned support from DJs, radio stations and dance music audiences alike.
‘GANGSTA’ showcases the sound that has helped fuel that rise. Built around rolling minimal grooves, hypnotic vocal samples and dark melodic textures, the track combines deep rhythmic energy with a stripped-back approach designed for dancefloor impact. Circular lead lines, subtle harmonic tension and sharp production details help maintain momentum throughout, creating a record equally suited to intimate club spaces and larger festival stages.
The release follows a breakthrough period for the young producer. After launching the project in 2024, Dean first gained attention with debut single ‘The People's Rhythm’, released via neXup recz, the label founded by his brother, Max Dean.
Momentum accelerated further with follow-up release ‘Was I Loved?’, which amassed more than 2 million streams while earning support from BBC Radio 1 and Capital Dance. Both releases also reached the Top 60 of the Official UK Charts, a rare achievement for an emerging underground-focused artist.
‘GANGSTA’ arrives alongside a busy summer schedule that highlights Dean's growing profile within global club culture. Upcoming appearances include OFF SONAR Festival, a debut performance for Circoloco, and support slots for Jamie Jones’ Paradise events at Ibiza's UNVRS Ibiza.
With another major label release now added to his catalogue, Joss Dean continues to cement his reputation as one of the most exciting young names emerging from the UK house music scene.
