Dutch DJ and producer Rob Stillekens has built his reputation around a sound that puts groove first. Since emerging from Tilburg in 2020, he has developed a style rooted in rolling percussion, infectious basslines and dancefloor-focused arrangements, taking his music to clubs and festivals across Europe and Latin America.

His productions have attracted support from established selectors including Marco Carola, Jamie Jones and Joseph Capriati, while tracks such as ‘Hollywood Goods’ and ‘Nothing Like That’ have helped establish his presence within the international house and tech house scene. Alongside appearances at Mysteryland and Free Your Mind, Stillekens has continued to expand his catalogue with releases on labels including MOOD Collective and Deeperfect.

His latest single, ‘Get Yo Hands’, arrived on 30th October through Massi Rocket’s Milan-based Motel Calypso Records. Built around chunky drums, a driving bassline and tightly arranged percussion, the six-minute production gradually builds towards a powerful drop, capturing the rhythmic intensity that has become central to his sound.

For this edition of Hot Picks, Rob Stillekens shares ten tracks currently finding their way into his sets. From the rolling grooves of Joseph Capriati and Angel Heredia to Latin-influenced house and percussive cuts from FEFO and Cyava, his selections offer a closer look at the records shaping his approach behind the decks.

Manolaco, GruuvElement's – Vanilla

“Seeing Paco Osuna open up his set at Music On in 2025 made me fall so in love with this track. Amazing work by Manolaco and GruuvElement's.”

Joseph Capriati, GENNARO – Control

“The groove of this one really catches me. Massive track by Joseph and GENNARO.”

SOSA (UK) – Italian Job

“Love the way the samples are used in this one. The arrangement is also amazing. Big one from SOSA.”

FEFO (IT) – Vertigo

“The groove on this track is on another level. Love the Afro-like vibes in it. You might have heard me play this in my set at The Boom Room ;)”

Cyava – Señorita Bonita

“Such a powerful track with a nice combination of Latin and house. Big ups to Cyava for this one!”

Simes – Nightfever

“Simes has recently become a must in my sets. So many of his tracks hit just the right spot!”

Mihalis Safras – Mamba

“Crazy, mesmerising track by Mihalis. Really love the groove on this one.”

Eros (RO) – Izindaba

“This one has a really crazy groove and an arrangement that flows perfectly. Big one from Eros.”

Rob Stillekens’ selections demonstrate a clear preference for records that build their impact through rhythm and arrangement. Whether it is the sample work of SOSA, the Afro-influenced percussion of FEFO or the Latin house energy of Cyava, each track offers a different approach to maintaining movement on the dancefloor.

That focus on groove carries directly into ‘Get Yo Hands’, where Stillekens combines weighty drums, a tightly controlled bassline and a carefully timed build to create a record designed for peak club moments. His latest release on Motel Calypso Records continues an approach that has helped him establish a growing presence across the international house scene.
