French producer Ramyen enters a new chapter this month with the arrival of his ‘Our Story EP’, a release that also marks the official launch of his new imprint, Mellow Records. Landing alongside a launch event at Gate Club in Paris, the project extends the world he has steadily built over recent years, creating a platform centred around groove, emotion and a new generation of French talent.
The debut release captures the mindset driving the label from day one. Ramyen describes it as "sexy house", a space where instinct leads the process and where tracks are selected based on feeling rather than rigid genre definitions. Across ‘Our Story’ and ‘Jack Italiano’, he moves between timeless vocal house influences and warmer, late-night textures designed with dancefloors firmly in mind.
To celebrate both the EP and the beginning of Mellow Records, Ramyen selects ten tracks that continue to influence his sound and the records he keeps returning to.
Supernova – Body & Soul [Lapsus Music]
Groovy, timeless, and a guaranteed dancefloor breaker. Supernova consistently delivers the goods and remains one of the most underrated duos in the game.
Ramyen – Midnight Whispers (Abel Remix) [Konflict]
Abel brings incredible musicality to this remix of my track. It feels so smooth, and the sound design is really current. Proud to have her touch on this one.
Lazare – Children of the Sun [One Seven Music]
Same summer energy with an amazing vocal that gets you every time. Watch out, a remix from me is coming later this year.
Art Department – Catch You By Surprise (Guy Gerber Remix) [No.19 Music]
Maximum intensity with minimal elements. The hypnotic vocal and groove on this one are absolutely incredible. A remix that has aged brilliantly.
Baron (FR), Mballa – WLD [One Tribe]
This track launches a party on its own. The arrangement and mix are thunderous. A proper nuclear weapon for any DJ.
Malikk – So Smooth [8Bit]
We love 8Bit and Malikk, so it's only logical that this makes for a great match. Malikk is a Mellow friend and we can't wait to welcome him onto the label someday.
N.O.Y & Guy Katch – In Love [Nervous Records]
An intense club hitter with classic house sounds and an incredibly clean mix. You'll be seeing these guys on Mellow Records sooner than you think.
Ramyen & Mamba Skar – Distance [Lapsus Music]
Obsessed with this track. Playing it every single set. A proper DJ tool you simply can't leave home without.
Parallel Dance Ensemble – Shopping Cart [Permanent Vacation]
Crazy about this pop gem. Hoping to get my hands on a remix someday. It's one of those tracks that stays in your head long after it finishes.
Neverdogs ft. Pepe Roselló – Ibiza (Reboot Rework) [Snatch! Records]
The exact kind of beats I fell in love with 15 years ago when I went to see Reboot play clubs around my hometown. Perfect intensity, pure love.
Across these selections, there is a clear thread running through Ramyen's approach to music. Groove sits at the centre of everything, but emotion and atmosphere carry equal weight. There is a balance between records that drive a dancefloor physically and tracks that leave a lasting feeling long after the night ends.
That same balance defines the launch of Mellow Records. Rather than following a fixed blueprint, the label looks set to build its own identity naturally through instinct and personality. If ‘Our Story EP’ is the starting point, Mellow already feels like it knows exactly where it wants to go.
