Freerange Records continues its 30th anniversary celebrations with the release of 30 Years Of Freerange Vol. 3, the latest chapter in an ambitious project bringing together 30 artists across five EPs before culminating in a limited edition box set. You can grab a copy here.
Designed as both a retrospective and a statement of intent, the anniversary series celebrates the label's three-decade legacy while showcasing the artists shaping its future. Volume 3 captures that balance perfectly, pairing long-standing Freerange favourites with emerging names who continue to push the imprint's soulful, forward-thinking sound.
Leading the release is Atjazz, who makes his debut as an original artist on Freerange with 'Love You Day One'. Built around warm chords, rolling basslines and the producer's unmistakable musicality, the track delivers the soulful house sound that has defined his career.
Elsewhere, Blue Method contributes 'Agora', blending deep house with hypnotic rhythms inspired by both Swiss precision and Cameroonian musical heritage, while Megatronic teams up with Belgian vocalist Mona Lee for 'Questions', a late-night house cut balancing textured percussion with introspective vocals.
The second half of the EP welcomes back Andre Lodemann, whose 'For Those Who Care' leans into atmospheric deep house with understated emotion, before fellow Freerange mainstay Manuel Tur delivers the stripped-back, synth-led groove of 'Key Race Alert'. Closing the release, Manchester producer James Kumo explores dub-infused house on 'Jazz Dimensions', drawing inspiration from the timeless musicality of artists such as Ron Trent.
Thirty years after its launch, Freerange continues to prove why it remains one of house music's most respected independent labels. 30 Years Of Freerange Vol. 3 reinforces the imprint's commitment to soulful club music while bridging its rich history with the next generation of electronic music talent.
