Segesta Music Experience III returns for its third edition this summer, bringing electronic music back to one of Sicily’s most striking historic settings with a lineup led by Ellen Allien and Anthony Rother.

Set to take place on 27th June, the event unfolds within the grounds of Temple of Segesta, a Doric monument believed to date back to around 420 BC and widely recognised as one of the world's best-preserved structures of its kind. Grab your tickets here.

The event continues its approach of placing electronic music inside locations with significant historical and cultural importance, creating a contrast between ancient surroundings and contemporary sound.

This year's programme brings together a range of artists across different corners of electronic music.

Ellen Allien arrives as one of techno’s most influential figures through her work as founder of BPitch Control and her long-standing contribution to underground electronic culture, while Anthony Rother brings his distinctive electro identity through a hybrid performance.

They are joined across the lineup by Caruan, Mayell, DJ Freshh, Federico Alesi and Nunzio Borino, with organisers promising a carefully paced musical journey that evolves throughout the day.

The wider concept behind Segesta Music Experience remains focused on creating a dialogue between past and present.

Rather than simply using the temple as a backdrop, the event aims to build an atmosphere that respects the site's history while allowing music to interact naturally with its surroundings. The programme has been designed to move through different moods and energies while remaining conscious of the significance of the location itself.

Preservation also continues to sit at the centre of the event's identity, with attendees encouraged to respect the surroundings and contribute towards maintaining the historic space.

For a festival built around context as much as curation, Segesta Music Experience once again offers something that feels a little different from the usual summer calendar.
