Crvvcks is entering a new phase. The Leeds-based producer returns to Perfect Havoc with ‘Ain’t Giving Up’ - a track built for forward motion. It’s bold, full of bounce, and out now. If you’ve been following his trajectory, this is the sharpest turn yet. If you haven’t, now’s the time to start. Buy/Stream it here: https://perfecthavoc.lnk.to/aintgivingup.
Where his last single, ‘What If’ (with Az Always), leaned into emotion and melody, ‘Ain’t Giving Up’ smacks harder. There’s more grit. More purpose. A big, soulful vocal cuts through tight drums and shimmering synths, all underpinned by a clear nod to the Bassline and Speed Garage sounds that put Leeds on the map.
“Being from the North, I was always exposed to that side of dance,” Crvvcks says. “I lived really close to Sheffield, the home of Niche, and Doncaster’s Donny Warehouse. You naturally absorb the energy.”
It shows. But this isn’t about nostalgia.
Crvvcks is focused on building something current - his debut EP’ Confluence’ is coming in September and sets out to bring club dynamics and storytelling into the same frame.
“Back in 2024, I didn’t release much,” he admits, “but I was working hard behind the scenes. I made a lot of tracks that felt fresh and varied. ‘Confluence’ just felt like the right word. It’s the culmination of different ideas coming together into a body of work.”
That drive has already paid off. His breakthrough single ‘Colours’ on 3Beat earned daytime spins on Kiss FM and Capital Dance. He’s landed releases with Defected’s D4 D4NCE and Tiësto’s Musical Freedom. He’s also had backing from the likes of Sonny Fodera and MistaJam.
But it was ‘What If’ that brought a different kind of attention - BBC Introducing in Leeds and Sheffield made him a Featured Artist. “That sort of support always feels rewarding,” he says. “It felt great having the opportunity to make a mini mix and showcase my work.”
There’s no question that Crvvcks is part of a wider shift in UK dance music - a new generation of artists reshaping things on their own terms. He credits some of that clarity to one key moment: “Getting signed to Universal was big. That was when I knew the talent was there. I wanted to see how far I could take it.”
What drives him, though, isn’t ego. It’s legacy.
“My parents came to the UK young, as first-generation immigrants. Their work ethic inspired me, and I feel like that influence shows in my music. I’m Nigerian, and music is inherently within me.”
You can hear that sense of purpose in every Crvvcks production. Even when the tempo’s high and the floor is shaking, there’s always something personal buried in the detail.
That mindset comes from beyond music, too. “I used to be a chef,” he says. “Cooking’s still a big passion of mine. There are loads of parallels - combining ingredients, creating something special.”
He’s also quick to name the people who’ve helped keep him grounded. “My family have had an enormous impact on me creatively. And a special mention to my girlfriend, too.”
As for dream collaborations? “Michael Jackson. No explanation needed.”
Crvvcks is the kind of artist who knows what he wants and knows how to get there. Every release feels like a deliberate move. Every project is rooted in intention.
And ‘Ain’t Giving Up’ is proof that he’s not coasting. He’s building. Shaping his own version of club music. Tapping into the DNA of where he’s from. Channelling lived experience into sound. And giving the dancefloor something real to hold onto.
If ‘Confluence’ follows the same path, expect a release that’s more than just a collection of tracks. Expect something that reflects the journey.
