Badger drops his debut EP release with genre bender ‘Let’s ‘Av It Right! featuring Chelcee Grimes, Scrufizzer, Comma Dee & more!

“...five frenzied club tools with bags of personality” - DJ Mag UK

Following on from two recent singles including "Afters" with Comma Dee and Danny Graft as well as "Sweet" with footballer Chelcee Grimes, UK dance music trailblazer and genre bender Badger now gets set to release his debut EP 'Let’s ‘Av It Right!’.

Three further original tracks including “House Music Is For Nerds” (feat. Kyle Kidd), “I’ve Been All Alone” and “Lights Down (Fast Lane)” with Scrufizzer are set to drop, delivering fans what they've been patiently craving amongst the viral edits and remixes he's become renowned for since his rise.

This new EP explores everything from house, UKG, drum and bass, and bass music, a body of work that is unapologetically Badger. "House Music Is for Nerds" is a playful yet authentic throwback to 90s house, anchored by a driving four-on-the-floor kick and classic hi-hat patterns, the track nods unapologetically to warehouse rave culture, chunky basslines, punchy snares, soulful vocals and euphoric synth stabs.

Meanwhile, "I've Been All Alone" is a deeply atmospheric piece that fuses UK garage rhythms with lo-fi electronic textures built around a fragmented, melancholic vocal loop, conjuring feelings of isolation and late-night solitude. Broken patterns of 2-step and ambient crackle slowly layering dreamlike elements that ebb and fade with emotional subtlety.

Wrapping up the EP, “Lights Down (Fast Lane)" is an explosive blend of UK bassline, drum and bass and grime that hits with immediate energy. Scrufizzer’s fast, clipped flow slices through Badger’s production with razor-sharp delivery, bouncing atop warped basslines, snappy snares, and jittery hi-hats. Built for dark rooms and loud speakers, it's a confident, high-octane cut that thrives on movement and intensity, perfectly tuned for the fast lane.

Badger’s rise has been nothing short of explosive. In under a year, he’s gone from dropping SoundCloud edits to selling out headline shows across the UK, US, Australia, and New Zealand. With over 170 million streams to his name, a UK Top 40 hit, and a silver-certified remix of Natasha Bedingfield’s "These Words", he’s firmly established himself as a credible force in dance music beyond his viral social media roots. Yet his flair for social media continues to thrive, with viral tracks like "In My Room" racking up over 17 million organic views, and approvals from the likes of Ellie Goulding and Chloe Burrows only adding fuel to the fire.

Known for transforming late-night musings into club-ready bangers and reimagining nostalgic pop into anthemic floor-fillers, Badger’s instinct for dancefloor magic is second to none. His genre-blending sound has landed him coveted festival slots at Glastonbury, Boomtown, Coachella and Reading & Leeds, along with studio collaborations with artists like Icona Pop, Julia Wolf, and Tinie Tempah. On a high from Glastonbury last month, he played in Shangri-La on the new Luna stage, as well as making surprise pop up appearances across the weekend including 'The Bug' in Arcadia.

Blending genre fusion, nostalgia, and cultural awareness with an infectious personality, Badger has struck a global chord through viral moments and a standout social presence who is now recognised first and foremost for his music. He’s teased upcoming collaborations with Michael Dapaah and Tinie Tempah, and his forthcoming summer project continues that mission, paying tribute to his underground roots with original productions and fresh collaborations.
