Ahmed Spins and Ankhoï are dialling up the heat this summer with ‘Mood’, a new collab out now via DHB Records featuring powerhouse vocalist Caroline Byrne and genre-bending guitarist Neyl.

Premiered in front of the pyramids at DHB’s Egypt showcase earlier this year, ‘Mood’ blends silky vocals, organic instrumentation and feel-good grooves into a radiant house cut full of warmth and character. There’s a playful splash of disco, a touch of funk, and enough dancefloor energy to carry any open-air set deep into golden hour. Buy/Stream it here: https://snd.click/DHB002.

Caroline Byrne’s topline is as effortless as ever. Having worked with names like Ferreck Dawn, Gorgon City, LP Giobbi and TSHA, her voice is both instantly recognisable and totally versatile. She floats through the production with breathy emotion, giving the track its soul.

Then there’s Neyl. The Moroccan guitarist brings his signature touch, mixing African and funk influences with bluesy phrasing and deep house sensibility. It’s no surprise the likes of Keinemusik and Francis Mercier are fans. His playing adds a live, human energy to the track, elevating it to a new level.

Both Ahmed Spins and Ankhoï are in strong form. Ahmed’s return from a three-year hiatus has seen him tear through stages at Coachella, EDC Vegas, Electric Forest and Ibiza’s [UNVRS] Opening Party. Ankhoï is riding high off ‘Closer To The Floor’ with Jazzy, a track that’s quickly become his most-streamed single to date.

‘Mood’ is already a go-to at Deep House Bible parties around the world, and it’s easy to see why. It’s bold, catchy, emotional and fun. Everything a summer track should be.

With more DHB events coming up and a wave of fresh music on the horizon, don’t be surprised if ‘Mood’ becomes one of the defining tracks of the season.
