  • Adam Beyer Unleashes More Relentless Techno with ‘Do It For The Bass’ EP on Drumcode

Adam Beyer keeps the techno fire burning with his latest EP, Do It For The Bass, out now on Drumcode. This two-track release showcases his signature evolution, blending powerful techno foundations with EBM influences for an electrifying result. The EP lands between Beyer’s upcoming remix of Romina Dez and Muter’s Fascination (out January 17th on Tronic) and a huge run of 2025 live dates, including Drumcode London at Drumsheds on March 22nd, plus major slots at Time Warp and Kappa Futurfestival. The title track, Do It For The Bass, is pure, high-energy techno. A relentless kick drum anchors the groove, while a crisp hi-hat shuffle drives momentum. A two-note siren-like riff builds with intensity, soaking in distortion and reverb before a robotic female vocal takes over, delivering an infectious, hypnotic chant. As the track progresses, the low-end weight deepens, creating a visceral, body-shaking impact. Circus Freaks dives even deeper, built on a cavernous bassline and an eerie, voice-like synth motif that feels both futuristic and unsettling. The tension mounts as a processed male vocal cuts through, leading into a reverb-drenched drop spiced with high-pitched melodies and fragmented patterns. The result is a dystopian, mind-warping experience that locks listeners in from start to finish. Beyer continues to push the boundaries of his sound while keeping his foot firmly on the dancefloor. Do It For The Bass is out now on Drumcode. Get it here: https://drumcode.ffm.to/dc322.

  • BL SUEDE & Val Fleury select six soulful house cuts

Los Angeles-based artist BL SUEDE and his trailblazing label, Purple Love Records, announce the release of a groundbreaking addition to their imprint dedicated to elevating soulful house music. Featuring a stellar remix by Liberian-born DJ and creative powerhouse Val Fleury, this release reimagines BL SUEDE’s visionary track "Love Warrior" and furthers the mission of the House of West Project. We had the pleasure of Val Fleury and BL SUEDE sharing some of the music that has shaped the artists they are today. Val Fleury's Hot Picks: Amadou & Mariam - Bofou Safou (Henrik Schwarz Remix) Amadou & Mariam are legends—basically, every West African's aunty and unc. Their music has been a part of my life since childhood. Henrik’s flip takes this beloved track to a whole new level! Dennis Ferrer - Hey Hey (Da Capo & Kitty Amor Extended Remix) Da Capo and Kitty Amor took this seminal Dennis Ferrer banger and gave it even more bite! Pure goodness. And big love to the vocalist, Shingai—that voice and her vibe are everything. Val Fleury - Ride On Time This one’s Afrowarehouse in full effect. An electronic underbelly paired with a West African groove—made to make you move. Remixes are on the horizon! BL SUEDE's Hot Picks: Errol Bangz - Dog’s World This West Coast flip takes a funk-era classic and transforms it into a house banger that always gets the dance floor jumping whenever I spin it. It’s crafted by my LA fam, the up-and-coming DJ/producer Errol Bangz from the Noyz N the Hood crew. This track will always turn heads and move bodies, and never fails. Damian Lazarus feat Fink - Sunrise Generation I'm consistently blown away by the soulful, magical musical genius of Damian Lazarus. His track 'Vermillion' from a decade ago helped shape my vision for my sound in dance-electronic music. This latest track from his new album is a sonic masterpiece, with Fink's vocals hitting the mark perfectly. A solid 5 stars! Eli Fola, BL SUEDE - Reach Out 'Reach Out' resonates deeply with the times we're living in and feels like my personal redemption song, interlaced with the classic refrain from Diana Ross’s “Reach Out and Touch Somebody’s Hand,” a regular closing song at the church I grew up in. I joined forces with the incredibly talented DJ, producer, and saxophonist Eli Fola to co-produce this track for Tech Afrique. I laid down the vocals, adding that extra layer of soul. I would say that this is one of my most epic records to date, but stay tuned because Eli and I have even more collaborations on the horizon. You can catch BL SUEDE play METASONIC LIVE in Los Angeles 01st February 2025 here.

Liva K, Marasi – Sahara "Sahara" is one of my latest collaborations with my good friend Liva K, and the reason I highlight this track is because of the hypnotic groove it delivers. The rhythmic foundation is deep and pulsating, while the nostalgic brass melodies in the breakdown add a mystical, almost cinematic element. • Raze.D embraces introspection and songwriting on Angry Silhouette

Raze.D aka D.Ramirez ventures into bold new musical realms on his accomplished artist album Angry Silhouette, out now on Dreamwave. Across 10 evocative tracks with flawless production, the UK mainstay makes a striking departure from the physicality of the dancefloor and heads into more thought-provoking worlds of sound while centring his own voice and songwriting for the first time. Buy/Stream it here: https://dreamwave.lnk.to/AngrySilhouette. Ivor Novello-nominated D.Ramirez has spent 30 years producing innovative club tracks across genres. His seminal tracks and remixes have topped charts, landed on the most influential labels, and rocked dancefloors all over the world. His new album as Raze.D, finds him digging deep to serve up his most personal work to date. Inspired by the 80's Sheffield scene he grew up around and bands like Human League, ABC and Cabaret Voltaire while also harking back to his early days singing in bands, Angry Silhouette came about during the pandemic when D.Ramirez had time to reconnect with the more introspective side of his creativity. The album draws on icons like Depeche Mode, Ultravox and the energy of modern alt-rock and features his own cultured and poetic songwriting. Lyrical themes muse on our deepening relationship with technology, social media addictions, self-worth, the influence of tech giants and much more. As Raze.D explains, "It's about reflection and confronting the world we live in. It's my way of offering a new sound that feels authentic to both where I have come from and where I am now. This music is 100% me. The singing, songwriting, production and mixing - every beat and note is mine. Just my vision, my truth. It's raw, it's all personal, it's all me.” The album’s foundation is strong, accomplished songwriting; intriguing melodies and hooks meld seamlessly with lyrical meaning and world-class production. 'Something Better' kicks off with crisp drums and a sleazy mid-tempo groove that allows Raze.D's vocals to soar, coated in reverb and conveying feelings of hope while rich synths bring extra moodiness. 'Overload' drops a dark bassline with prickly synth patterns and powerful vocals that question our reliance on the digital world while 'Keep This Dream Alive' rides on a broken beat with rubbery bass off-set by celestial strings which brings hope next to Raze.D's falsetto tones. The 80s-tinged cold wave and synth fusion of 'Angry Silhouette' is defined by expressive guitar licks and more crashing hits, 'Into The Fire' shows yet more vocal range as a downcast and introspective delivery turns to empowerment, then 'Coming For You' twitches with synth riffs, haunting melodies and vocals that both shimmer about the mix and come as a deep baritone, rising into soaring harmonies. 'Push The Fader' picks up the energy with dark, industrial beats and stabbing synths reflecting Raze.D’s state of mind as he relates an intense personal struggle against inner demons made worse by the relentless distraction of noise, external and internal. Things play out through the twisted rhythms and chilled strings of 'Pigeon Superstition,' lush synth releases and nagging grooves of 'Photoelectric' and dramatic, epic closer 'Do You Feel The Same'. Angry Silhouette is a timeless, multi-faceted album that marks a superb new chapter for the ever-evolving Raze.D.
