- Enrico Rosica, Timo Maas And Ivye Connect On ‘No More’ Via Magnetic Magazine Recordings
Enrico Rosica, Timo Maas Enrico Rosica and Timo Maas have joined forces with vocalist Ivye for ‘No More’, a new collaborative release landing through Magnetic Magazine Recordings. Released on 25th September, the project features a Vocal Mix alongside an Enrico Rosica Dub Mix, with a further Timo Maas ‘Riviera Mix’ scheduled to follow on 9th October. The collaboration began in Rimini after producer Francesco Mami connected Rosica with Maas. Ivye, real name Francesca Pianini Mazzucchetti, also comes from the area, giving the project a strong local connection despite Maas’ longstanding international presence within electronic music. That collaborative process also changed the direction of the record itself. ‘No More’ initially began with a different tone before Ivye became involved, with her vocal ultimately reshaping Rosica and Maas’ approach to the production. The finished Vocal Mix places her performance at its centre, with lyrics examining appearances, screens and the pressures surrounding visibility. The Enrico Rosica Dub Mix approaches the material from another angle, pulling focus away from the full vocal and creating additional space for the instrumental elements. Rather than completely rebuilding the track, Rosica retains recurring sounds between the two versions, giving DJs different options while maintaining a clear connection to the original. Early DJ activity has already started to build around the release. Rosica’s Dub Mix appeared on Mike van Brugge’s Flipside Radio, while Rob Zile featured a Timo Maas version during his Brain Food Radio show on Kiss FM Australia. Promotional feedback has also included responses from Black Coffee and Chris Fortier, while Hernán Cattáneo downloaded Rosica’s dub. With the ‘Riviera Mix’ still to come, ‘No More’ is set to develop across three interpretations, each shifting the balance between Ivye’s vocal and the progressive house foundations beneath it. - Hot Picks: Cristina Lazic selects some of her favourite tracks
Born in Milan and raised in London, Cristina Lazic started playing the piano when she was six and grew up composing music. Emerging into the spotlight only four years ago, Cristina has performed at iconic clubs and festivals around the world. She also caught the attention of Pioneer DJ Italy, who chose her as an ambassador and example for aspiring female DJs. Her releases can be found on Bondage Music, Creature Records and Rebellion. Part of shesaid.so, the world leading community of women in the music industry, she leads the parenthood committee’s efforts to safeguard the interest of artists with kids. Cristina's latest release 'Burning' is an impressive three-track EP on Crosstown Rebels' Rebellion imprint. Talking about the release, Cristina explains: “Burning is an EP that will accompany people in a variety of situations - from introspective journeys in moments of reflection, to social gatherings with friends and all the way to the dance floor. It consists of three tracks that contain a mix of minimal sounds with groovy bass, with female / male catchy vocals and unique elements full of surprises.” Delving further into the creation of the EP she reveals: “In Mirror I was inspired to include a guitar tone after listening to the great track “Taff” by Leonidas and Traumer; Jazzy Feeling is the result of an effort to combine minimal with funk and jazz music. Finally, with the lead track Burning I wanted to obtain a happy dance floor sound to make people dance, including unexpected elements, like seventh chords.” To celebrate the upcoming release of Cristina's latest body of work, we asked to dive into our Hot Picks series and share a collection of some of her favourite cuts: Distilled Noise - Prima Del Mattino [STRYD007] Distilled noise is an emerging producer from Italy, on the edge of international success along the rominimal scene who has been able to build a strong community via YouTube, Facebook and Telegram by giving minimal house production tips. Prima del mattino is the typical example of his groovy sounds mixed with original instruments like guitars. Sam Ruffillo - Danza Organica (Musumeci Remix) A great remix by Musumeci of Sam Ruffillo’s Danza Organiza, a track that reincarnates Italo house and makes us all Italian proud! Cristina Lazic feat Shar - Mirror (Rebellion) A sensual housey track featuring the beautiful voice of Sharon, Mirror is a track of introspective exploration. While producing it, I wanted to musically depict the story of a fierce woman who looks at herself in the mirror and is ready to move on after a complicated relationship, on a journey to happiness and accomplishment that breaks barriers from a difficult past. This track is inspired by Leonidas CH and Traumer’s track “Taff”. Mancini - Don't Know (NTFO remix) (HDZ13) A beautiful remix of Don’t know by Mancini, from the well respected Romanian producers NTFO. HedZup is a rising label from Paris, owned by Wlad and Mancini. Majhu - Dusk (ICS Remix) [NIE010] Total minimal grooves on this remix of Dusk my Majhu, provided by ICS. Check out the works of both Majhu and ICS, totally recommend. Lukea – Zirconiu [Bohrium Records] Lucas Morello aka Lukea has produced a true gem, recently out on a beautiful white vinyl, from Spanish imprint Bohrium Records. This track is a mix of minimal and progressive sounds, I love it. Cristina Lazic - Burning (Rebellion) The lead track of Burning EP by myself - a groovy dance floor tune, aiming to make people dance, with unexpected elements like seventh chords. Traumer - Mouth The one and only Traumer comes back with a release of Mouth, a track he had been testing for a while with huge success (check his social media accounts to watch), together with another banger, Express (and remixes). Obviously out on Gettraum records, on Bandcamp. David Belmont, Edu Saiz - Nothing Control Out on BNN records, this sick tune by David Belmomt and Edu Saiz will definitely make people dance in any sort of situation! Love the vocals. Pornbugs - Limon (Mihai Popoviciu Remix) [BRISE150] The two founders of successful German label Bondage, Pornbugs, are often collaborating with Mihai Popoviciu. Their latest release on Brise features a remix by Popoviciu on the track Limon, a total pleasure for the ears. Cristina Lazic - Jazzy Feeling (Rebellion) Another track from my Burning EP on Rebellion. This is the result of an effort to combine minimal with funk and jazz music. To produce it, I got inspired by Jazz Fusic by Chris Lattner & Enzo Siragusa. Cristina Lazic's 'Burning' EP is out on 25th March 2022 on Rebellion. His first original release on the label since he dropped the critically lauded 'Worship Technology' alongside Skonka and TheConnect earlier this year, ‘Pieces of the Night Sky’ is the lead single from his upcoming album Reflections and his first release featuring his own vocals, in addition to his ground-breaking song-writing. Following an impressive string of hit collaborations with SPNCR, Awsumo, Wuki, Isabellea, RETNA and Ralf over the past twelve months, Foss continues his rich vein of form with a bold creative evolution and a masterful solo original. 'Pieces of the Night Sky' is not the typical tech-house groove that fans may have come to expect from the dance music veteran; instead, Foss explores a more atmospheric realm, blending tight retro rhythms with haunting melodies, bookending transcendent song-writing reflective of the artist's ever-evolving sound. ‘Pieces of the Night Sky’ showcases Foss' ability to push the boundaries of the underground house sound, revealing yet another facet of his musical prowess. Shimmering synth lines dance over a driving bassline, while his own 80s-inspired vocal create a dreamy yet danceable atmosphere, making it perfect for both late-night dance floors and introspective listening sessions. - Premiere: STO pushes deeper with ‘Kick vs. Clap 3’
STO STO returns with the next chapter of his ongoing series, ‘Kick vs. Clap 3’. Grab your free copy here: https://hypeddit.com/sto-fr/kickvsclap3. This new instalment expands the formula once again. Deeper, more hypnotic, and more fluid in motion, it’s an undulating fusion of rominimal pulse, terrace-ready percussion, and underground house pressure, all wrapped in the warped musicality that defines STO’s sound. The groove rolls and folds back on itself. Every layer feels intentional, each sound feeding into the next in a tidal rhythm that never quite settles. The energy shifts subtly, rising and falling like a breath, steady and locked in its flow. There’s restraint here, but also drive. The low-end glides rather than punches, while crisp percussion skims across it with a natural swing. The textures bend and twist just enough to keep the listener hooked, continually teasing the next evolution. Rather than chasing drops or breakdowns, STO focuses on flow. The track’s power sits in its movement and precision, the way it finds balance between minimalism and motion. It’s hypnotic without being distant, detailed without being overworked. You can feel the intention behind every sound. The kick and clap remain the anchor, but everything around them moves like liquid, built for late terrace sessions and long blends when the crowd’s already deep in the zone. ‘Kick vs. Clap 3’ continues STO’s journey into the stripped and hypnotic. It’s functional, physical, and endlessly playable; another reminder that less is only more when every sound has weight. - CLOSE PROXIMITY Channel ’90s Euphoria Into ‘House Of Hades’ EP
CLOSE PROXIMITY London duo CLOSE PROXIMITY haven’t taken long to define themselves. In just over a year, they’ve built a catalogue that feels cohesive, confident and rooted in a clear idea of what they want their music to do. Set for release on 23rd April, their forthcoming EP, the ‘House Of Hades’ on Belters4U, pushes that identity further, with lead single ‘Open Up Your Mind’ capturing the full scope of their sound in one track. Buy/Stream it here: https://belters4u.bandcamp.com/album/house-of-hades-ep The project may feel new, but the foundation goes back much further. “We met over six years ago and instantly knew we had similar artistic sensibilities and taste,” they explain. “The most important thing is trust, and we trust one another’s instincts fully.” That sense of trust is what allows their sound to move so fluidly. It pulls from ’90s house and progressive, but also carries the lift of trance and flashes of Italo, never settling into one lane for too long. “Fundamentally, we are music lovers who are obsessed with each of those sub-genres,” they say. “We try to combine harmony and melody with high energy and sit somewhere between all of that.” That blend sits at the core of ‘Open Up Your Mind’, a track that feels less like a reference point and more like a convergence. Driving rhythms, euphoric synths and vocal hooks all work together to create that moment where the dancefloor tips into something more immersive. Interestingly, that feeling wasn’t pulled from one specific memory. “It’s more a multitude of experiences and about how we’re feeling in the moment,” they explain. “We don’t usually lean on one specific club memory.” That instinctive approach runs through their process. Rather than chasing a moment, they focus on capturing a feeling that can translate across different spaces, whether that’s a packed room or a festival crowd. Moments like Job Jobse dropping their track at Pitch Music & Arts still land, but they don’t define the direction. “Seeing one of the best tastemakers play our music was incredible,” they say. “We make music with the dancefloor in mind, so it’s special to see it resonate like that.” It’s validation, not a pivot point. That clarity extends to how they choose where their music lives. Despite releasing across a wide range of labels, the criteria stays consistent. “We look for labels that push the style of music we love and who champion underground culture,” they explain. “It’s always about putting the music first.” That’s why Belters4U feels like such a natural home. The relationship goes beyond the release itself, rooted in a shared ethos. “Good music, no egos, building a genuine community. That’s exactly what we believe in.” That sense of community feeds directly into ‘House Of Hades’. The EP isn’t just a collection of tracks; it’s an attempt to create a unified world. “This is our first attempt at creating a world within one EP,” they say. “It’s an amalgamation of lots of different sounds, but it’s a tribute to the artists and styles we love.” There’s variety across the record, but it never feels disjointed. Each track shifts the mood slightly while still sitting within the same emotional space. Bringing in Pablo Bozzi for a remix only strengthens that identity. His interpretation strips things back and leans into a darker, more direct energy. “He brought a fresh perspective and a deeper, more stripped-back version of the track,” they say. “It still feels connected but clearly has his own touch.” That balance between euphoria and control is something they’ve been refining across their releases. Their music often sits in that late-night space where energy is high, but the groove remains grounded. “We almost always follow instinct,” they explain. “Creating harmony and melody and infusing that with energy.” It’s a simple approach, but one that allows the music to stay honest. Their experiences on the road feed into that instinct without dictating it. Closing the Strand stage at Sisyphos in Berlin stands out as a defining moment, not because it changed their sound, but because it reinforced it. “These events live long in the memory and definitely inspire what we make,” they say. Back in London, that influence continues to build. The city’s history and current energy both play a role in shaping their perspective. “Being in London, you can’t help but feel the presence of so much musical history,” they explain. “Underground and rave culture is deeply embedded within us.” It’s that connection between past and present that gives their music its sense of weight. With ‘House Of Hades’, CLOSE PROXIMITY aren’t trying to reinvent anything. They’re bringing everything they’ve been building into sharper focus. “In terms of defining our sound, it’s definitely this record,” they say. It feels less like a turning point and more like a confirmation. A clear statement of intent, and a strong indicator of where they’re heading next. - Tian Karl Makes His Long-Awaited Return to Music With New Label Project and Album Release Plans
London-based underground talent Tian Karl returns to the fore in 2024 with the emergence of his new label 'TRUST ISSUES', a slew of new singles and his forthcoming album 'THINGS TO SAY ABOUT WORDS', set for release in early 2025. Giving the first insight into a body of works that has been in the making since 2015, 'Flint' eases us back into the trademark sound that saw Tian sign music to the likes of Defected, Black Butter Records, Nervous, InMotion, Avotre and many more in years past. Download/stream it here: https://music.apple.com/us/album/flint-single/1764356920. Undeniably danceable, 'FLINT' is flooded with chugging grooves, hearty low-end swing, and dreamy electronic musicality from start to finish. A head-turning Minimal / Deep Tech dancefloor jam, 'FLINT' is one of several tracks on Tian's forthcoming LP that bridge the gap between the sound he's known and loved for and the newer, more experimental side of his productions, which showcase a plethora of mature and fearlessly artistic traits. Tian Karl emerged in London’s scene in 2015 and, within a few months, had left his mark on imprints such as Defected, Black Butter Records, Nervous, InMotion, Avotre and many more. As releases on respected labels usually do, they led him to play at iconic venues such as XOYO and Ministry Of Sound. A forced hiatus in 2018 took him out of focus for a while and changed his sound into more introspective themes while not abandoning his signature garage and Neo soul-infused dancefloor sound. “There will always be traces of house, garage, Neo soul, maybe even IDM in my sound without ever being one thing only, I guess. It’s just what happens when I make music. I don’t think about it, to be honest.” he describes his process. In 2024, Tian returns with his own imprint, TRUST ISSUES, with Issue001 “FLINT”, marking his first single (post-hiatus) and his debut album “THINGS TO SAY ABOUT WORDS”, following later in early 2025. Whether you're an existing fan of Tian's work or you're late to the party, one thing is for sure: the incoming wave of releases that lead into 'THINGS TO SAY ABOUT WORDS' play perfectly into the hands of anyone with an eclectic palette and an appreciation for artists who dare to be musically vulnerable in search of a newfound reputation for pushing the boundaries of contemporary dance music and rigid underground nuances.

- DJ Thadz & DJ Slugo - Dance Mania Legends
Subterranean Playhouse and Clownhouse Muzik align on September 12, 2025 to frame a tidy snapshot of Chicago lineage. DJ Slugo’s two-tracker is pure function: “How We Do” locks into a rolling jack that begs long blends, while “Last of The Year (Whip That)” adds sub torque and whip-crack punctuation without clutter. DJ Thadz answers with four mixes that turn heads - “Let Me Squeeze’Em” is rubber-low and unrushed; “Freak Hoe” arrives in full, Radio Edit and Club Dub. Options from radio pre-peak to warehouse close. Nice touch: the previously vinyl-only chapter lands digitally, sealing the arc. Economy and pressure, zero flab—club logic done right.
