South Records return with ‘I’ll Be Your (The Remixes)’, out 27th January. The package features Andrew Azara, Max Chapman, and St. David, each delivering a DJ-focused reinterpretation of RUZE’s original. Buy/Stream it here: https://ffm.to/sth018.

RUZE’s original ‘I’ll Be Your’ EP established itself quickly as a record with genuine traction. It secured placement on Spotify’s All New Dance playlist alongside key Deep and Minimal editorials, charted across Apple Music and Amazon, and topped the Beatport releases chart in its first week. Radio support followed from BBC Radio 1 via Danny Howard and Sarah Story, KISS with TCTS, Defected Radio, and a feature on Subsoul’s YouTube channel, reaching over one million subscribers. This remix release builds on that foundation, offering fresh angles for a track already proven across dancefloors.

Andrew Azara’s remix strips the original down with a minimalist, underground house approach, focusing on tight drums, a subtle low-end, and gradual progression. His remix stands out for emphasizing atmosphere and patience, making it best suited for early or mid-set play when gradual build and groove are most effective. The result is a version crafted to support DJs seeking understated energy.

Max Chapman infuses his remix with a signature blend of groove-heavy rhythms and dynamic percussive movement. Marked by a swinging, rolling rhythm that carries his recognizable stamp, this version appeals to dancefloors seeking both momentum and clarity. Chapman’s contribution is notable for maintaining a steady drive and a balanced, energetic pulse, giving DJs a tool for peak flow sets.

St. David’s remix raises the intensity, adapting the track for peak-time sets by introducing punchier drums and more robust elements. This interpretation is clearly positioned as the high-energy option, maximizing drive for moments when the dancefloor requires maximum engagement. St. David’s work distinctly shifts the original into a forceful, main-room direction.

The release reflects South Records’ long-standing approach to follow-through and curation. Rather than chasing novelty, the label focuses on sustaining records with real club value, pairing them with remixers who understand function, timing, and longevity. The result is a package designed to keep ‘I’ll Be Your’ active, adaptable, and relevant as the season moves forward.
