Sonic Soul Orchestra is back on British House label SoSure Music with a two track release that shows exactly why the London and Los Angeles based producer continues to be a top source of modern house heat. ‘Right Now ‘brings regular collaborator Camden Rose back into the fold, and he delivers a warm vocal that glides across a soulful groove built on rich piano lines and a steady pulse made for late night floors. It is a straight up love song, loaded with plenty of lift for the dance floor.
‘Run The Rhythm’ keeps the energy high but grooves with a funkier swing. Camden opens up again, this time over a deeper rhythm section coloured with emotive keys and sweeping strings that give the track a widescreen feel. Both cuts arrive with some very nice edits from S.K.O.D. whose club ready touch adds extra punch and rounds out another strong entry in the SoSure catalogue.
Sonic Soul Orchestra, also known as JP Firmin, has been part of the scene since the early nineties when he launched Interstate Records and ran his own club nights before moving into bookings for New York names like DJ Disciple, Dave Camacho and Michael Watford. The following decade saw him shift into directing and managing global tours for major artists, a role he continues today. Lockdown reignited his drive to make house music and he has since released a steady run of originals and remixes on labels including Midnight Riot, Black Riot, Quantize, King Street, Groove Odyssey, IAH and Love To Be. With a new label called People Watching set to launch in 2026, he looks ready for another busy chapter.
