Sammy Virji has released ‘Open Late’, a surprise eight-track album that draws on the unpredictable rhythm of life on the road. The UK garage producer unveiled the project on 21st October, presenting it as a reflection of the atmosphere and spontaneity of his touring schedule.

Featuring contributions from Joy Anonymous, Wet and Hans Glader, the release follows his 2025 album ‘Same Day Cleaning’. Rather than treating the club as a backdrop, Virji has built the new record around the way a DJ set moves between tension, release and unexpected musical turns.

The producer explained that the album is intended to trace the feeling of being in the room while he plays, with unusual key changes and breakdowns designed to evoke particular moments in his live sets. That approach reflects the playful musical instinct that has helped bring his sound to increasingly large international audiences.

The release also arrives during a busy Amsterdam Dance Event week. Virji is due to appear alongside Mochakk for a back-to-back performance at The Loft on 23rd October, followed by his own curated event at Gashouder on 24th October.

His continued presence at major international events underlines the distance UK garage has travelled in recent years. What began as a distinctly British club sound now reaches audiences across Europe and North America, with Virji among the artists bringing its swing and energy to a new generation.

‘Open Late’ is available now, offering a compact, tour-inspired statement from an artist whose momentum shows little sign of slowing.
