Padre Guilherme begins 2026 with a statement of intent, releasing his new EP ‘We Want an Unarmed and Disarming Peace’ on World Peace Day via Lux Aeterna Records. The project positions Melodic Techno as a medium for collective reflection, connection, and action, translating a message of peace directly onto the dancefloor.

Inspired by Pope Leo XIV’s Message for the 59th World Day of Peace, the EP channels tension, release, and emotional weight to explore light against darkness. Rather than softening its delivery, the release leans into the physical power of club music, using rhythm and repetition to communicate unity across shared spaces.

The EP features two original tracks, both carried by Liah Barrett's emotive voice. Opening track ‘We Want Peace’ sees Padre Guilherme collaborate with Diego Miranda, one of Portugal’s most internationally recognised electronic artists. Built around a commanding melodic framework, the track functions as a direct call to the floor, transforming its central message into a moment of shared intensity. The drop lands not as aggression, but as affirmation, framing the dancefloor as a space for unity rather than escape.

‘Instrumento de Paz’ follows in collaboration with Dre Guazzelli, shifting toward a more organic and progressive direction. The track unfolds patiently, guided by layered textures and rising emotion. Liah Barrett’s vocal performance leads the journey, moving through tension toward harmonic resolution and reinforcing the idea of peace as something internal, lived, and sustained.

Across both tracks, the EP presents peace not as an abstraction, but as a presence. By embedding these themes within Melodic Techno, Padre Guilherme continues to explore how electronic music can function as a space for communion, capable of carrying meaning at scale without losing its physical impact.

Out now on all major platforms, ‘We Want an Unarmed and Disarming Peace’ stands as both a musical offering and a call to action, inviting listeners to step into the new year grounded in intention, openness, and shared humanity.
